WHAT: Popular comedian and actor Matt Rife is set to become the latest inductee into Mohegan Sun Arena’s Walk of Fame – the 41st group or individual to receive the honor. Matt Rife will be honored with a Walk of Fame star just hours before the second of his record-breaking five consecutive sold out Mohegan Sun Arena shows during the ProbleMATTic World Tour.

IN DETAIL: Matt Rife joins the likes of Thomas Rhett, Chris Rock, Luke Combs, Shinedown, Toby Keith, New Kids On The Block, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, and more as the 41st inductee into the Mohegan Sun Arena Walk of Fame. Rife will be honored with an induction ceremony on Thursday, February 22nd that includes remarks by Mohegan executives and representation from the Mohegan Tribal Council, followed by the presentation of a star plaque outside of the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Both media and the public are invited to attend.
Matt Rife has exploded as one of the fastest growing comedians through his viral content and remarkable engagement on TikTok, where he has amassed over 18.2 million followers, and more than 2 billion views globally.
On November 15th, 2023, the comedian released his highly anticipated Netflix special, Matt Rife: Natural Selection on the streaming service, which garnered outstanding numbers including over 10.3 million views in its first two weeks and earning a Top 10 ranking in 42 countries including #1 in US, Canada, and South Africa.
In addition to stand-up, he made his television debut on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out as the youngest cast member in history for four seasons before moving on to other MTV properties, such as hosting the reboot of TRL and appearing on The Challenge. Special presentation took place backstage; Group became 40th inductee
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 27, 2023) – Prior to the return of Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s (TSO) “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” to Mohegan Sun Arena yesterday evening, the Progressive Rock group was honored as the 40th Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame inductee.
TSO sold out the renowned 10,000-seat Arena for the 28th and 29th time in a row during two consecutive performances during the 2023 holiday tour. The group has played in front of over 190,000 dedicated fans since their first Mohegan Sun Arena appearance in 2003. “TSO has always been a fan favorite at Mohegan Sun Arena, said Tom Cantone, President of Sports and Entertainment at Mohegan. “Everyone in attendance receives an exhilarating, unforgettable experience from TSO whenever they are on property. “Every TSO show is a memory for life with your family and friends, and that’s what we do best.” Trans-Siberian Orchestra joins Thomas Rhett, Shinedown, Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffet, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, and more as the latest inductee into the Mohegan Sun Arena Walk of Fame.
A product of the imagination of TSO’s late founder Paul O’Neill and based on TSO’s multi-platinum CD and TV special, “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,” follows the journey of a runaway who breaks into an abandoned vaudeville theater on December 24th. While seeking shelter from the cold, the teen is discovered by the theater’s caretaker who uses the ghosts and spirits from the building’s past to turn her life around. Following the performance of the Rock opera, 2023’s tour also boasts a rocking, blazing, and laser-lit second set containing more of TSO’s greatest hits, fan-favorites, and surprises.
Since its touring debut, TSO has played more than 2,000 Winter Tour shows to more than 18 million fans. Superstar Country singer is the 38th inductee
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 8, 2022) – Before back-to-back, sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena this weekend, Luke Combs was inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame. Greg Romeyn, Director of Sports and Entertainment for Mohegan, presented Combs with the honor in a private ceremony backstage before Combs’ first show on Friday night. The Country superstar and reigning Country Music Awards “Entertainer of the Year” is the 38th inductee into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame.
Combs performed to 9,300 fans on both Friday and Saturday night as part of his The Middle of Somewhere Tour. He has now performed three sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena since making his debut in Uncasville in 2019.
After Combs’ show on Saturday, he made a surprise appearance at novelle’s Luke Combs after party to give away an autographed guitar to one lucky fan. Combs also took the time to sign the iconic autograph wall backstage at Mohegan Sun Arena, which has collected hundreds of autographs from famous performers and entertainers over the years.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry and a six-time CMA, three-time ACM, three-time Billboard Music Award winner, Combs is in the midst of a record-setting and historic series of years. His previous release, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. Superstar comedian is the 37th inductee
Before his fourth sold-out show at Mohegan Sun Arena, Chris Rock was inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame. Tom Cantone, President of Sports and Entertainment Worldwide for Mohegan, presented Rock with the honor in a private ceremony backstage. The Grammy and Emmy Award-winning comedian, actor, director, writer, and producer is the 37th inductee into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame.
“In a world that needs more laughter, how timely is it to induct Chris Rock, who is now forever enshrined into the Mohegan Sun Entertainment family,” said Tom Cantone, President of Sports and Entertainment Worldwide for Mohegan.
Rock performed to a sold-out crowd on Friday evening as part of his Ego Death World Tour. It was his fourth show at Mohegan Sun Arena since making his debut in 2008. All four of his shows at Mohegan Sun Arena have sold out.
Rock has won four Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards and is a New York Times Best-Selling Author. In addition, he received two nominations at the 2016 Emmy Awards for “Outstanding Director for a Variety Special” for Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo and “Outstanding Special Class Program” for the 88th annual Academy Awards.
