IN DETAIL: The pioneer behind “The Twist,” Chubby Checker gets up-close-and-personal with fans before his Wolf Den performance during an exclusive Signings & Sightings event. Join Chubby as he signs copies of his latest release, Snapshot, in The Shops concourse on Saturday, December 26th.
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, signing personalization or photos taken with personal cameras are prohibited. Chubby Checker will only be signing copies of his latest album Snapshot. This event is bracelet-only. Snapshot must be purchased at Spin Street on the day of the event in order to receive a bracelet for entry into the signing event.

Hall Communications and Mohegan Sun Announce Locals Live 2015 Music Contest Set For The Wolf Den

WHAT:
Local Bands and musicians looking to win some cash and play the same award-winning Wolf Den that has hosted the likes of Dustin Lynch, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Eddie Money and plenty more, here is their chance with Mohegan Sun and Hall Communications Locals Live 2015!

(every Wednesday except 11/25)
Wolf Den
IN DETAIL:
Hall Communications will be hosting a 5 week contest (final bands compete 12/2) trying to find local bands and musicians in our area to ultimately perform in the Wolf Den and compete for a grand prize.  The contest will feature 4 weeks of submissions (8/17 – 9/14). Mohegan Sun and Hall Communications will then pick 18 bands/musicians (16 to perform, 2 alternates) to perform live in the Wolf Den starting October 28th every Wednesday (excluding 11/25) from 8:00pm-11:00pm.  The grand prize winner will receive a $5,000 cash prize and 2nd place will receive $1,000
Voting each week (except finale): Text to vote.  The voting period for each act is open on the night of their performance from the hours of 8pm-11:59pm.  Voters can text in their vote up to a maximum of 5 times.
The top 4 bands with the highest votes will perform on December 2nd.  On December 2nd, new codes will be given to the top bands and voting will take place again via text and with 3 live judges to determine a grand prize winner.
Band/artist demo videos must be submitted via WCTY by Monday, September 14th. Visit the site for all official rules.

MADD About Josh Turner Takes Over The Wolf Den

Tickets on sale this Friday; Special WCTY pre-party, a silent auction and one of Country music’s best in the Wolf Den, set for September 25th to benefit Mothers Against Drunk Driving

UNCASVILLE, CT (July 6, 2015) – Mohegan Sun, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, WCTY and the New London Day are excited to announce that the MADD About Josh Turner concert will be taking place on Friday, September 25th at 8:00pm. Festivities will include a WCTY pre-Party, Meet & Greet and a silent auction.
Donations are $50.00 and $100.00 and go on sale Friday, July 10th at 10:00am at the Mohegan Sun’s Box Office and through Ticketmaster.com. Ticketmaster customers can also call their national toll free Charge By Phone number, 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet. All ticket holders will also get access to the WCTY pre-party, taking place at The Cabaret Theatre from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, which will include food, drinks and live entertainment!
The VIP tickets priced at $100.00 will include preferred seating, access to the WCTY pre-party as well as a meet & greet with Josh Turner at 7:00pm.
Admission to the Wolf Den will begin at 7:00pm. Also, beginning at 3:00pm and continuing through 11:00pm, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a special silent auction, taking place at the Spring Gateway, just outside the Wolf Den and near the Box Office.
Mohegan Sun is proud to be a part of what will be another great night of fun & entertainment. It is the 7th year of the partnership between Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Mohegan Sun. Longtime supporter and radio host, Shelly Martinez of WCTY-FM, will also be on-hand to give a special message before the concert.  All proceeds benefit MADD.

About Josh Turner
Multi-platinum MCA Nashville recording artist Josh Turner is one of Country music’s most recognizable hit-makers. Thursdays In Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den Are Indie Pop, Rock & Soul Central

Some of music’s next best, like Misterwives, have Thursday night shows lined up for the Wolf Den this April

Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den is already well-established in bringing in some of the best all-time acts like Eddie Money, John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band, America, Boyz II Men, Warrant and countless others.  The popular free venue has also largely come to be known as one of the top stops in the Northeast for today’s best in Country music, with friends like Dustin Lynch, The Cadillac Three, Lee Brice, Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Lady Antebellum, many of whom have graduated to Mohegan Sun Arena, all having played and continue to play, great weekend shows at the Wolf Den.
