Get your Rock & Roll fix with KIX during an exclusive Signings & Sightings event at Mohegan Sun. After you “Rock Your Face Off’” during KIX’s live performance in the Wolf Den, stop by The Shops concourse for a free autograph session on Friday, April 10th.
KIX is a Hard Rock band gaining popularity throughout the 80s and early 90s. KIX was founded in 1978 in Hagerstown, Maryland as The Shooze, then changed its name to The Generators before eventually settling on KIX. Most recently, KIX signed with Loud & Proud Records and released their first album in nearly two decades entitled Rock Your Face Off.
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, KIX will only be signing copies of their new album Rock Your Face Off which will be available for purchase at Spin Street. This event is bracelet-only. Bracelets will be distributed upon purchase of Rock Your Face Off at Spin Street on the day of event. Personal photos and personalization are prohibited.

Oakland Soul, R&B, Funk and Jazz greats to perform and be placed alongside Wolf Den’s best with special ceremony
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 16, 2015) – Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that the next Wolf Den Hall of Fame inductee will be none other than the legendary Tower Of Power. The Oakland, CA band will be live in concert on Saturday, April 18th at Mohegan Sun. The longtime Wolf Den performers will kick off at 8:00pm and early into the show, Senior VP of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, along with Mohegan Tribal Chairman, Kevin Brown, will take the stage to present Tower of Power with their well-deserved Wolf Den Hall of Fame honor.
About Tower of Power:
Tower of Power’s musical odyssey began in 1968 when tenor saxophonist/vocalist Emilio Castillo met baritone sax player Stephen “Doc” Kupka in July of that year. Originally named The Motown’s, the guys paid homage to the R&B sound that influenced them while adding their own personal twist. In 1970, the now renamed Tower of Power landed its first record deal with Bill Graham’s San Francisco Records. Their next album, Bump City, was recorded on Warner Brothers and produced a string of hits giving the band its first national exposure. At least 60 talented musicians have toured or recorded with the band in its 47 years and they have been featured with artists as diverse as Aerosmith, Elton John, Little Feat, Phish, Santana, Heart and many others, forever infusing the radio airwaves with Tower’s musical DNA. A special ceremony is set for the legendary entertainer Chubby Checker, just before his performance in the Wolf Den on October 10th
UNCASVILLE, CT (September 12, 2014) – Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den Hall of Fame has been awarded to great acts such as Eddie Money, Little Anthony & The Imperials, America and John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band since its incarnation. The exclusive club recognizes a distinct class of performers whose longevity and dedication have helped make the Wolf Den as successful as it is today. Mohegan Sun is very proud to recognize and celebrate Chubby Checker’s involvement with the Wolf Den and more importantly his passion and importance to music over the last half century.
The induction ceremony will take place on the Wolf Den stage prior to the start of the Chubby’s performance on Friday, October 10th at 8:00pm. Mohegan Sun executives and Tribal leaders will be on-hand to say a few words in Chubby Checker’s honor and to induct him into the Wolf Den Hall of Fame!
Chubby Checker is the only artist to have a song be #1 twice with the huge smash, “The Twist,” which shattered the charts in 1960. The next few years were prolific for Chubby as hit after hit followed. In, 1961, Chubby recorded “Pony Time,” written by Don Covay and John Berry. It went to #1 and stayed on the charts for 16 weeks. The platinum-selling artist never slowed down over the years with 9 double-sided hits and continually touring. In his own words as to what keeps him going? Chubby says, “It’s the fans. The energy I get from singing and dancing with all these people over the years is unlike anything else I experience. I never want it to end.”
