Mohegan Sun wins 8 awards at the 37th Annual Telly Awards, which honor the very best in film & video
UNCASVILLE, CT (August 1, 2016) – Mohegan Sun, one of the largest, most spectacular entertainment, gaming, dining, shopping and convention destinations in the United States, is proud to announce they have been awarded eight 2016 Telly Awards. The Telly Awards are the premier awards honoring the finest in film and video productions, web commercials and local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs.
- In Travel/Tourism, Mohegan Sun won a 2016 Silver Telly Award, the highest award possible, for its Full of Life Brand TV Campaign for “Regional Television”. Outside of the Travel/Tourism category, Mohegan Sun also took home a Bronze award in the overall “How To/Instructional” category for Mohegan Sun’s Craps 101 online video.

- The Wolf Den, a Bronze award in the “Music/Concert” category

- The Full of Life Brand TV campaign also took home a Bronze award for “TV Campaign – Promotional/Branding”.

The 1975 have announced that they will return stateside this fall for a North American headline tour in support of their #1 US and UK sophomore album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it (Dirty Hit / Interscope Records). The UK art-pop quartet will kick off their tour in Phoenix, AZ on October 13th at Comerica Theatre and will hit Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on Saturday, November 5th at 8:00pm.

The tour kicks off in Casper, WY on September 20th and will be swinging through Connecticut for a live performance at Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, October 13th at 6:00pm with special guests Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and Havok.

Brand Reveals Celebratory Lineup Featuring “20th Anniversary Comedy Special” hosted by Kevin Hart and Friends, Bruno Mars’ sole concert appearance of the year and performances by Sia, Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt, KISS, and even more to be revealed in coming months!
UNCASVILLE, CT (July 12, 2016) – After twenty years of welcoming millions of guests through its doors to experience the region’s finest accommodations, casino offerings and live entertainment, Mohegan Sun is pleased to announce today the exciting lineup of special events to take place throughout October in tribute to the property’s 20th anniversary celebration. From Country to comedy and Hip-Hop to Rock n’ Roll, the East Coast’s top entertainment destination is rolling out the red carpet for the world’s biggest performers and celebrity talent in what is sure to be the must-see celebration of the fall season.
As part of this huge milestone, Mohegan Sun will be presenting a “20th Anniversary Comedy Special” hosted by Kevin Hart & Friends. Set to feature an evening of stand-up comedy performances by various comedy stars, it will take place on Friday, October 14th, the same day as the release of Hart’s groundbreaking movie What Now, performed in front of an 50,000 people at Lincoln Financial Field. The 20th anniversary festivities will continue throughout the weekend with an incredible A-list musical talent lineup, and celebrity appearances and more shows to be exclusively released later this summer.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating our anniversary with this stellar talent roster and the guests who have supported us over the last 20 years,” said Ray Pineault, General Manager at Mohegan Sun. “It is a privilege to be hosting one-of-a-kind events such as Kevin Hart & Friends and Bruno Mars’ only concert appearance of the year, for our 20th anniversary celebration. From October 1st through October 30th, Mohegan Sun’s nationally recognized, 10,000-seat Arena, which was recently named the 2016 “Arena of the Year” at the ACM Awards in Las Vegas and known for showcasing top headlining concerts and premier sporting events, will host more than 10 musical acts (with nearly 30 Grammy Awards among all) for fans to enjoy throughout the month.
