Superstar Country singer is the 38th inductee
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 8, 2022) – Before back-to-back, sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena this weekend, Luke Combs was inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame. Greg Romeyn, Director of Sports and Entertainment for Mohegan, presented Combs with the honor in a private ceremony backstage before Combs’ first show on Friday night. The Country superstar and reigning Country Music Awards “Entertainer of the Year” is the 38th inductee into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame.
Combs performed to 9,300 fans on both Friday and Saturday night as part of his The Middle of Somewhere Tour. He has now performed three sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena since making his debut in Uncasville in 2019.
After Combs’ show on Saturday, he made a surprise appearance at novelle’s Luke Combs after party to give away an autographed guitar to one lucky fan. Combs also took the time to sign the iconic autograph wall backstage at Mohegan Sun Arena, which has collected hundreds of autographs from famous performers and entertainers over the years.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry and a six-time CMA, three-time ACM, three-time Billboard Music Award winner, Combs is in the midst of a record-setting and historic series of years. His previous release, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. With the record Combs reached No.1 on Rolling Stone’s Top 200 Albums chart, Top 100 Songs chart and Artists 500 chart – the first Country artist to ever lead all three charts in the same week and first to top the Artists 500. He also made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart – breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record at 24 weeks.
The Walk of Fame hosts names like Bon Jovi, Kevin Hart, KISS, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and so many more long-time sell-out acts who are enshrined outside of the Mohegan Sun Box Office forecourt. Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame awards seek to recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. All the inductees into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena. Anthrax & Black Label Society with special guest Exodus will visit Mohegan Sun Arena for one spectacular night of Heavy Metal at 6:30pm on Friday, February 3, 2023.
Tickets are $45, $35, and $25 and go on sale Friday, November 4th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, November 5th, subject to availability.
Anthrax is composed of Scott Ian (guitars), Frank Bello (bass), Charlie Benante (drums), Joey Belladonna (vocals) and Jonathan Donias (guitars). Anthrax celebrated its 40th anniversary in July 2021. In the span of 40 years, the band has released 11 studio albums, earned multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, received six Grammy nominations along with a host of other accolades from the media, music industry, and fans.
In 1991, the band helped break down race and genre barriers when they collaborated with Public Enemy on the track “Bring The Noise” and were the first Metal band to have its music heard on Mars when NASA played “Got The Time” to wake up the Mars Rover in 2012. Along with Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth, Anthrax is a card-carrying member of The Big Four, the four bands that defined the Speed/Thrash/Metal genre.
Everything about Black Label Society begins with the riff. A dedicated disciple of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple, Zakk Wylde looks to the massive guitar hooks in classics like “Whole Lotta Love,” “Into the Void,” and “Smoke On the Water” as guiding lights. “The main ingredient in any Black Label soup is the riff,” says the larger-than-life front man.

A charismatic Heavy Metal marauder recognized worldwide as a living legend, Wylde rose to prominence when Ozzy Osbourne chose him as his loyal axe-man, based on a cassette he mailed in as a teen. Guitar World put him on their cover more than a dozen times in recognition of his work on multiplatinum albums by the icon he calls “the Boss” and the two decades of music made by BLS.
Doom Crew Inc. sees Zakk trading solos and twin-guitar parts with Dario Lorina, backed by the rumble of longtime bassist John “J.D.” DeServio and powerhouse drummer Jeff Fabb. Like every BLS album since 2010, the band tracked Doom Crew Inc. at Zakk’s home studio, aka the Black Vatican.
The beautiful simplicity of BLS bangers owe everything to the lessons Wylde first heard on Black Sabbath’s We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n’ Roll. “Less is more with everything,” he says. “Except the guitar solos.”

Fans of fine wine and food can indulge their appetites for both during the 19th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest (SWFF) beginning Thursday, January 26th and lasting through Sunday, January 29th. Sun Wine & Food Fest is one of the largest and most popular wine festivals in the Northeast, treating guests to a vast selection of wines and no shortage of delicious food pairings. Across the four-day SWFF 2023 there are 14 total events, including the return of the Grand Tasting, Celebrity Chef Dine Around, and Vintage Cru. Grand Tasting Preview
Guests can get a sneak peek of the Grand Tasting, one of Sun Wine & Food Fest’s signature showcases. This preview is held at the Earth Expo Center, and guests can sample a variety of wine, beer, and spirits while pairing their favorites with delectable dishes from some of the region’s top restaurants. The Grand Tasting Preview offers the opportunity to experience an exclusive preview of SWFF’s largest event while also getting an early peek at celebrity chefs showing off their skills.
On Friday, January 27th from 8:00pm to 10:00pm the Grand Tasting Preview will take place. Ticket prices are $100 in advance and $125 at the door. Tickets for designated drivers cost $40.

Sun Wine & Food Fest’s main event features over 1,000 different types of wine, beer, and spirits for guests to sample inside the 125,000 square-foot Earth Expo Center! 8th Annual Benefit for Veterans and Active-Duty Military Returns to the Uncas Ballroom on November 11th; Opening Ceremony to include Special Appearance by Robert Irvine
UNCASVILLE, CT (October 4, 2022) –Mohegan Sun and the community will come together on Friday, November 11th for a day that both honors and provides invaluable resources to veterans and active-duty military members. Vets Rock at Mohegan Sun will host a job fair, veteran service organizations and other resources. Veterans and active-duty military members can pre-register for this year’s event through the website. Pre-registration for Save-A-Suit is also available for veterans and active-duty military. Save-A-Suit has been a partner of Vets Rock since 2017 and has fitted more than 1,000 veterans and military members.
Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2022 will begin with an opening ceremony in The Shops at Mohegan Sun at 1:30pm, where special remarks will be given by invited dignitaries, followed by a performance by the Mohegan Tribal Color Guard. Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine will be in attendance to accept a donation from the Vets Rock Foundation to benefit the Robert Irvine Foundation. The Robert Irvine Foundation supports our service members, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need through resiliency, health, and wellness programs, in addition to the financial support of top-rated military and first responder organizations.
Vets Rock Expo
From 2:00pm – 6:00pm, guests are invited to partake in the free Vets Rock Expo inside Mohegan Sun’s Uncas Ballroom, located in the Sky Convention Center. The expo features over 50 veteran service organizations and career fairs. The Save-A-Suit program alone will allow veterans and active-duty military members to be fitted for professional attire to take home. Save-A-Suite will also take on donations from guests at the entrance of the Uncas Ballroom.
Following the events in the Uncas Ballroom, veterans can head over to the Cabaret Theatre for the Big and Tall Comedy Tour. The tour featuring Big Ern and headliner Mike Bova has quickly become one of the funniest shows in comedy! When the guys are not playing major venues across America, they are playing American Legions and VFWs, raising money for our nation’s veterans.
