IN DETAIL: Mohegan Sun & Hall Communications are back hosting another exciting 5-week contest every Wednesday from October 25th – November 29th (excluding November 22nd) from 8:00pm – 11:00pm, where 16 local bands and musicians, four per week, will compete live at the Wolf Den. The four bands/musicians that receive the most overall votes from the audience will compete in the finals on November 29th in front of expert judges to vie for the $5,000 grand prize. Second place receives $1,000.
Come out, enjoy $3.00 Bud & Bud Light specials and text to vote for your favorite! The voting period for each act is open on the night of their performances from the hours of 8:00pm – 11:59pm. Voters can text in their vote up to a maximum of 5 times.

Chesney has played five back-to-back sell-out performances at Mohegan Sun Arena since he kicked off his Sun City Carnival 2009 Tour. Now, the songwriter from east Tennessee returns to Mohegan Sun for his final two indoor shows of 2017 on August 10th & 11th. Chesney will be presented with his Walk of Fame star outside the Mohegan Sun Box Office a few hours prior to his August 11th show.

His long list of achievements, spanning over 60 years, includes 19 Grammy awards, including the prestigious “Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award,” making this artist a true international treasure. His signature tunes such as “Steppin’ Out With My Baby” and “I Left My Heart In San Francisco” form part of the fabric of American music culture. Often billed as the world’s most boyish octogenarian, Bennett is a vital musical artist at the peak of his powers.
Celebrating his 90th birthday in August of 2016, the milestone was marked by the presentation of Tony Bennett Celebrates 90: The Best is Yet To Come, a two-hour prime time special that aired in December while a companion CD of the same name was released simultaneously. Last fall also saw the release of Bennett’s fifth book, Just Getting Started, which he co-authored with journalist Scott Simon. IN DETAIL: Taking over the Wolf Den, MADD About Dan + Shay will be the 9th year that Mohegan Sun is a proud partner of Mothers Against Drunk Driving for a benefit featuring a great night of fun and entertainment. Festivities will include a WCTY pre-party, meet & greet and a silent auction held at The Shops at Mohegan Sun. Longtime supporter and radio host, Shelly Martinez of WCTY-FM, will also be on-hand to give a special message before the concert. All proceeds benefit MADD.
