Earth, Wind & Fire are a musical institution. 2020 marked a year-long celebration of their 50th anniversary in entertainment – one that has taken them all around the globe playing sold out concerts. In 2019, their contributions to arts and culture were acknowledged in Washington DC with the prestigious “Kennedy Center Honors”. The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery also awarded Earth, Wind & Fire with its “Portrait of a Nation” prize.
The band has scored eight number one hits, has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and released 23 albums. Eight of those albums went double platinum and hit the Top 10, making them one of the best-selling artists of all time. They’ve won an impressive nine Grammy Awards including one for “Lifetime Achievement” (2012). In 2000, Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, cementing their lasting impact on popular music.
For their record-breaking success, they’ve also been awarded with “Lifetime Achievement” honors from ASCAP, NAACP, BET, and have star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Their reach extends to heads-of- state. Over the years, the band has supported various charity organizations including the Make a Wish Foundation, Race to Erase MS, the American Cancer Society, and the Human Society. In 2007, leader Philip Bailey founded Music Is Unity, which helps youth in foster care successfully transition into adulthood and provides music instruments to youth with musical aspirations but lacking the resources. Co- founder, Verdine White has led important initiatives with the Girls & Boys Club of America and opened The Verdine White Foundation in Los Angeles as a mecca to serve youth with music scholarships and other programs.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 11th
UNCASVILLE, CT (June 7, 2021) — Recording artist Machine Gun Kelly, the award-winning global performer and most recognized rockstar of his generation, will be taking his show on the road this fall. Hitting live concert venues for the first time since the release of his #1 album “Tickets to My Downfall,” fans can expect rocking performances of platinum hits “bloody valentine,” “my ex’s best friend” and more. Machine Gun Kelly will be performing in Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, October 31st at 7:00pm.

Mohegan Sun excited to announce 
expanded shuttle service for guests traveling to New London, Connecticut by AMTRAK, Cross Sound Ferry and Shore Line East / CTrail. Passengers who are looking to visit Mohegan Sun simply have to show their qualifying ticket to the Mohegan Sun shuttle driver for access. This Mohegan Sun Shuttle serves the Transportation Center in New London, CT, which is roughly 20 minutes from Mohegan Sun. The shuttle will run on a two-hour loop, starting at 8:40am out of New London.
“Guests in and around New York City, and certainly from Long Island, will now have an easier way to visit Mohegan Sun,” –said Jeff Hamilton, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun. “This reimagined shuttle service will provide seven daily opportunities to visit Mohegan Sun for guests traveling by train, ferry or bus into New London, just as our destination ramps up with summer festivities and the return of high-profile sports & entertainment inside Mohegan Sun Arena.”
Shuttle schedules are currently available through the Getting Here section of mohegansun.com. Mohegan Sun offers multiple departures back to the New London Transportation Center every day, departing from Sunrise Square in Casino of the Earth. Guests with a train, bus or ferry ticket dated for that day out of New London can take advantage of these shuttle departures. The Cross Sound Ferry from Orient Point in Long Island, NY travels to and from the New London Transportation Center seven days a week.
Mohegan Sun is also equidistant between New York City and Boston, MA, and easily accessible through all major regional airports, including Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT and T.F. and one of four major artists that serve as coach’s on NBC’s, The Voice, Blake Shelton, will perform at Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, October 22nd. Shelton recently released his 12th album, Body Language, on May 21st. Up-and-coming Country singer, Emily Ann Roberts, who was a finalist and member of team Blake Shelton in season nine of The Voice, will open the concert.

Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus, housekeeping positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 25, 2021) – Mohegan Sun is set to host three summer hiring events on Wednesday, May 26th, Thursday, June 10th and Thursday, June 24th. Employment opportunities are open in Food & Beverage, Event Support, Security, Marketing, VIP, Accounting, Hotel, Retail and more. Culinary positions offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus and housekeeping positions offer a $500 sign-on bonus. Bonuses will be paid out in increments.
The hiring events on Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, June 10th will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm in the Earth Ballroom, located in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. A third hiring event will take place from 10:00am – 7:00pm on Thursday, June 24th in The Cabaret Theatre, located in Casino of the Sky.
