Mohegan Sun is heating up for the 25th anniversary of its annual Hot Summer Fun celebration! The action gets started on Monday, June 27th where guests can take advantage of daily Momentum member promotions, thrilling special events, live entertainment in Mohegan Sun Arena, Wolf Den, and more through Friday, September 2nd.
HOT SUMMER FUN DAILY GIVEAWAYS
Momentum members can participate in a new promotion every day of the week! Guests can sign up for Mohegan Sun’s free rewards program at any Player’s Club booth on property.
On More Money Mondays, Momentum members can win their share of $10,000 cash! Every Monday from June 27th – August 29th, one Momentum member will be randomly selected every sixty minutes between 10:00am – 7:00pm to win $1,000 cash. That’s 10 winners every Monday! To enter, Momentum members can play their favorite slots, tables, stadium games or poker games in the Poker Room. All Momentum members must be present to win.
During Catchin’ Rays Tuesdays, Momentum members can go head-to-head with other members in their Status Level for up to $1,000 Momentum Dollars! Momentum members can play their favorite slots, table games, stadium games or wager in the Race Book and Poker Room from 6:00am – 10:00pm every Tuesday from June 28th – August 30th. Five winners per status level will be selected each week, and the Momentum members who earn the most Status Points throughout the week win the top prize! Momentum members can double down on the momentum earnings during Wild Winning Wednesdays. Guests must be 21 years of age to enter the Wolf Den. Guests may line up no sooner than three hours before the show. Come early, limited seating is available on a first come – first served basis. Mohegan Sun’s Party on the Patio is the best spot for over-21 fun every Friday night from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. The Summer Entrance will transform into a space where guests can enjoy drink specials like $5 beer and Grey Goose cocktails, fire pits, food trucks, and so much more while listening to some of the best tribute bands around.
All guests must be 21 or older and have a valid ID. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, feel free to bring your own chairs! Guests are not permitted to bring coolers or outside food/beverages. Bands and food trucks subject to change.

Major Refreshes to Sachem Lounge and the Summer Entrance are also beginning soon
UNCASVILLE, CT (April 14, 2022) – $15 million will be
invested on various projects that are now underway and planned at Mohegan Sun and Mohegan Sun Golf Club. By the end of this year, a new 6,500 square-foot VIP Lounge & Bar in Casino of the Earth will open and major renovations to Mohegan Sun’s two most luxurious suites (The Royal Suites) will be completed. Over the stretch of 3-years, significant course improvements will also take place at the award-winning Mohegan Sun Golf Club. Additionally, key updates to Sachem Lounge and the outdoor patio at Summer Entrance will soon begin.
With the aim of launching by late fall of this year, Mohegan Sun has started work on a new VIP Lounge & Bar to be located in Casino of the Earth. World-class architects and longtime Mohegan Sun partners, Rockwell Group, are contracted for this new venue that will stretch 6,500 square-feet and feature dining, a full bar and an alluring fireplace at the center of the venue. Rockwell Group is also working with the Mohegan Tribal cultural department to incorporate Mohegan influenced designs and elements through this new space, located next to BALLO Italian Kitchen & Bar. When complete, the VIP Lounge & Bar will offer a dramatic and elegant atmosphere, creating the backdrop for the perfect night out for Mohegan Sun’s Momentum VIP members. An additional food & beverage offering in Casino of the Earth will also be developed, with more information to be announced soon.
Upon completion of this new Lounge & Bar in Casino of the Earth, Mohegan Sun’s Sachem Lounge will also begin work on a renovation that will refresh and liven up this luxury food & beverage area inside Casino of the Sky.
A full revamp is also underway inside the Royal Suites, which are the two largest and most spectacular suites at the heights of Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower. More than $3 million will be invested on these renovations that will undergo an extensive Fire & Water themed makeover. Both suites will be distinctively different to provide two unique luxury hotel experiences. Royal Suites at Mohegan Sun are 3,500 square-feet and home to two master bedrooms, two Jacuzzis, butler service, a large circular living room, panoramic views of the Thames River and more.
Major improvements are also coming to Mohegan Sun Golf Club (MSGC), the 18-hole Mohegan-owned championship golf course located in Baltic, CT and originally designed by the renowned Geoffrey Cornish. A 3-year multi-phase renovation will implement various redesigns and improvements across the course. More than $1 million is also being spent on brand-new John Deere turf equipment, which along with the course renovations, will improve efficiencies on maintenance and labor. Phase 1 is currently focused on eliminating select bunkers, improving dozens more and engaging in selective tree removal to help preserve the integrity of cart paths and improve turf coverage and quality. Replacement trees will also be planted to create more strategic division amongst holes and to sustain the natural beauty of one of the most scenic and enjoyable courses in all of New England. An overarching goal of these renovations is to improve both pace-of-play and the overall golfing experience for all levels of play. Mohegan Sun Golf Club opens for the season on Friday, April 15th.
Furthermore, the partially covered patio outside at Mohegan Sun’s Summer Entrance, where tribute bands are booked throughout the summer as part of Hot Summer Fun, will undergo key upgrades this year and into 2023. Highlights of this project include the additions of a permanent outdoor bar, a deck, a music stage and a re-designed area dedicated to activities and lawn games.
Mohegan Sun will also soon announce exciting new additions to its lineup of restaurants, which currently consists of more than 40 offerings, including the popular TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge which opened last year.

Uncasville, CT (August 26, 2021) –Sun BBQ Fest is back at Mohegan Sun, as guests can once again celebrate and enjoy amazing barbecue, cold beer, hand-crafted cocktails, live music, and so much more. The 8th Annual Sun BBQ Fest is a two day event taking place in the Winter Parking Lot on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th. Nationally-acclaimed BBQ teams will be on hand for the People’s Choice Competition that allows festival goers to try their incredible food. Guests can also participate in the annual Wing and Rib Competition. Sun BBQ Fest also includes a World Food Championship-sanctioned barbecue competition with teams participating in barbeque, dessert, and burger contests. Over the course of two days, more than $25,000 in prize money will be awarded!
Tickets for Sun BBQ Fest $5.00 per day and on sale now through sunbbqfest.com and at Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids ages six and under receive free admission. Admission tickets and $1.00 tickets for food and beverages will be also be available for purchase at the festival entrance. Ribs & Wings Galore
Guests can feast throughout the day by participating in the People’s Choice Contest. World Food Championship teams will offer $2.00 BBQ samples all weekend long, and guests can vote for the best in show. Voting will be open from Saturday at 11:00am until Sunday at 3:00pm and the winners will be announced on Sunday at 4:00pm.
In addition to the People’s Choice competition, guests can indulge at the Rib and Wing Challenges. All World Food Championship competitors will be given racks of ribs and loads of chicken wings to prepare in any flavor they wish. For $1 each, guests can taste any ribs or wings and help determine who reigns supreme. Winners will be announced on Saturday evening prior to the fireworks show, and a portion of the proceeds from both competitions benefit Operation BBQ Relief, an organization dedicated to providing meals to disaster-stricken communities across the U.S. The Rib Challenge Tent is open to guests on Saturday from Noon – 2:30pm, and the Wing Challenge Tent is open on Saturday from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

teller Brantley Gilbert returns to the road this summer, connecting with BG Nation at venues across the U.S. Brantley Gilbert stops at Mohegan Sun Arena with special guest Mitchell Tenpenny on Thursday, September 16th at 7:30pm.

The Georgia native recently released his latest single “The Worst Country Song Of All Time” with his friends turned collaborators Toby Keith and HARDY, and the parody-driven track is already climbing the charts at Country radio.
Earlier this year, Gilbert held his inaugural trail ride with partners including Polaris, Gander Outdoors, Camping World, Brimstone® Recreation, Traeger Grills, Whiskey Jam and Appalachia Made Co., raising $75,000 to benefit ACM Lifting Lives COVID-19 Response Fund to support those in the entertainment industry who lost work due to the pandemic.

UNCASVILLE, CT (July 21, 2021) – Entertainment is heating up at Mohegan Sun this summer, with incredible stand-up comedy inside Comix Comedy Club, can’t miss tribute bands at the new Party on the Patio event every Friday night and of 
course, the biggest names in music returning to the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena. Joining the mix of incredible live entertainment throughout the summer will be exciting local bands playing the Wolf Den every week. Hitting the stage in August and September include acts like the Brandt Taylor Band, F & Blues Band, Thirty 6 Red, the ToneShifters, and plenty more!
“Connecticut and our surrounding regions are home to some of the best local bands, bar none, and we’re thrilled to be able to showcase such a tremendous lineup over the next few months,” –said Greg Romeyn, Director of Sports & Entertainment for Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) “The entertainment industry felt the challenges of the past 15 months as much as any industry did, and Mohegan Sun wanted to largely dedicate our longest running music venue to one of the most vital segments of this industry: live local music.”
Popular local acts that have recently played the Wolf Den of recent include Branded Country that ROCKS, Wicked Peach, Whiskey Boulevard, Last Licks and more. The action rolls on in early August, when singer, songwriter and incredible guitarist, Brandt Taylor, returns to the Wolf Den stage.
Taylor, who hails from Connecticut and began playing music at the age of nine and professionally by 16, will take the stage with his full band, playing original music. Don’t miss the Brandt Taylor Band at 8:00pm on Thursday, August 5th.
On Saturday, August 7th, F & Blues Band is scheduled to play the Wolf Den at 8:00pm. Based out of southern New England, F & Blues Band is a high energy Blues dance band comprised of four highly seasoned musicians playing the best of Old Blues and original tunes. Other great local acts like Thirty 6 Red, Fleet, Plain Jane and Van Halen Tribute featuring Tyler Morris fill out the August calendar in the Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun.
In September, the thrilling group, Souls on Fire, bring their 10-piece horn section and the best music of the 70’s to the Wolf Den stage. Souls on Fire plays the hits form Chicago, Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Motown and plenty more. Wolf Den fans can’t go wrong on Thursday, September 2nd for an amazing performance kicking off at 8:00pm.
New London’s own, the ToneShifters, are set for back-to-back Wolf Den shows (8:00pm) beginning Saturday, September 4th. Formed in 2009, the ToneShifters are a Blues / Roots band who have played venues like C.B.G.B’s, Studio 54 and the Hartford Civic Center. And on Friday, September 17th and Saturday, September 18th, the band Red Light will be performing at 8:00pm in the Wolf Den. Red Light is known throughout New England, bringing classic Dance Party Rock, Country Rock and Pop Rock covers to live music fans. This experienced and dynamic band plays a wide variety of hits, with two highly-skilled guitarists, a monster back beat and multiple part harmonies. Red Light was voted the 2020 Best Musical Group of Eastern CT by The Norwich Bulletin Readers Choice Awards.
The Wolf Den will also still feature some nationally touring headliners throughout the summer as well, including Autograph on Thursday, July 29th, Queensrÿche on Saturday, August 14th and O-Town on Thursday, September 30th.
