She brings her debut CD, Starfire, to Mohegan Sun for an exclusive Signings & Sightings event. As a special guest on the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill tour, Caitlyn Smith will be opening the Arena show and then will take part in a CD signing in The Shops concourse immediately following the end of the show. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Caitlyn Smith will only be signing copies of her latest CD, Starfire, which must be purchased at Spin Street on the day of the event. Wristbands will be distributed upon purchase which will then allow guests access to the signing event. Guests must have a bracelet to join signing line. A day to celebrate, honor and thank our military and veterans
UNCASVILLE, CT (May 14, 2018) – Join us at the fourth annual Vets Rock event as we celebrate active duty military and veterans with a day of valuable programs and resources on Friday, November 2nd. Some of the special services and activities include Hiring Our Heroes, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, over 100 Veteran Service Organizations and workshops – all free! A portion of tickets will also be donated from Sebastian Maniscalco’s concert in Mohegan Sun Arena by Mohegan Sun to support Vets Rock.
This year’s Vets Rock will benefit Fisher House Boston, Save–A–Suit and Project New Hope. A special thanks to WTNH News 8 and iHeart Media for their contributions.
“As we go into our fourth annual Vets Rock, we continue to look for ways to have the most positive impacts and help our regional veterans. That is why this year instead of having one major beneficiary, Vets Rock will aid three very important organizations in their missions: Fisher House Boston, Save–A–Suit and Project New Hope. These three organizations provide broad support and targeted services to reduce the strain of difficult circumstances including the period of transition from the military, which I’ve always believed was our clarion call with Vets Rock,” said Kevin Brown, Chairman, Mohegan Tribal Council.
Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2018 will begin with an opening ceremony at 10:00am in The Shops concourse, hosted by Gil Simmons of WTNH-TV. Join us as we salute to veterans and present a check to the beneficiary organizations during the National Anthem, with FDNY Bagpipers and a performance by the USO Show Troupe.
Vets Rock Expo
From 10:00am to 6:00pm, guests are invited to take part in the Vets Rock Expo occurring in the new Earth Expo and Convention Center. This year’s Vets Rock Expo gets underway with special services and activities for veterans and their families such as a career fair presented by Hiring Our Heroes that will feature 100 employers throughout the region, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, workshops including Prime Lending which will offer free mortgage consultations, free health screenings and more.

Mohegan Sun Arena welcomes comedian Sebastian Maniscalco on Friday, November 2nd starting at 8:00pm. A portion of tickets will be donated by Mohegan Sun to support Vets Rock.

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 9, 2018) – Taking place right at dusk on Friday, May 18th, The Young Leaders of United Way of Southeastern CT & Mohegan Sun are teaming up for a special golf competition benefiting important local causes. Mohegan Sun Golf Club, located at 7 Dows Lane in Baltic, CT, will be hosting a “Glow Golf” event, where teams of four will compete
against each other to win overnight hotel stays at Mohegan Sun. The action kicks off at 6:00pm, lasting through 11:00pm and is a 21 and over event! On-hand for the evening will be Munchies Food Truck, a 50/50 raffle, outdoor lawn games and DJae Mêlée spinning records.
To sign up in advance, players can click here. Tickets are $20.00 per person or only $75.00 per team of four. All players and guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to the event to be donated to the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center in New London, CT.
The contest involves teams competing against each other over the span of four holes at Mohegan Sun Golf Club, which was recently named one of the “best courses in New England” by Golfweek. After completing the holes, teams will move to the short game area for a chance at hitting the golf ball into the “ring of fire,” where each team member is given two shots from a 30 yard distance. Points are then tallied from a total of eight combined shots at the ring of fire, which will be added to the score from the first four holes. Visit uwsect.org/youngleaders, for more information.

This festival will feature dozens of food trucks, live music and entertainment for kids, including face painting, field games and more. The festival will also feature a firework show on Saturday starting at 9:30pm. A truly unique event where you can linger until you have sampled all the best of what we have to offer!
