3rd Annual Barrett-Jackson Northeast Auction Kicks Off June 20th In The New Mohegan Sun Expo Center

UNCASVILLE, CT. – May 10, 2018 – Building off a record-breaking 2018 Palm Beach Auction, Barrett-Jackson is returning toMohegan Sun in Connecticut for its 3rd Annual Northeast Auction, June 20th-23rd, 2018.  In addition to the collector car and automobilia auctions, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions® will bring a host of automotive lifestyle activities as part of the first event in Mohegan Sun’s newly built 125,000 square-foot Expo Center.

“We can’t thank the collector car community enough for the incredible memories we’ve shared at our first two auctions in 2018,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Fortunately, we are only just beginning. Mohegan Sun is a spectacular venue and we are thrilled to be the first event at their brand-new Expo Center. They added a second tower with 400 rooms leading into last year’s auction and their continued growth sets a tremendous stage for our 3rd Annual Northeast Auction. Even more important, highlighting the event will be the continuation of our yearlong Driven Hearts charity campaign that has already helped raise over $530,000 in 2018 for the American Heart Association, thanks to the incredible generosity and support of the collector car community.”

The week kicks off on Wednesday, June 20th with Family Value Day – a preview day for consignors, bidders and fans to experience all the automotive lifestyle activities in addition to looking at all the auction vehicles and automobilia items before they begin crossing the block on Thursday. In addition, the Motor Trend Live Stage will stream live coverage during the auction, with expert analysis on vehicles moments after they cross the auction block. Mohegan Sun Golf Club Hosts Charity Golf Event, “Glow Golf,” To Benefit United Way & Gemma E. Moran

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 9, 2018) – Taking place right at dusk on Friday, May 18th, The Young Leaders of United Way of Southeastern CT & Mohegan Sun are teaming up for a special golf competition benefiting important local causes.  Mohegan Sun Golf Club, located at 7 Dows Lane in Baltic, CT, will be hosting a “Glow Golf” event, where teams of four will compete against each other to win overnight hotel stays at Mohegan Sun. The action kicks off at 6:00pm, lasting through 11:00pm and is a 21 and over event! On-hand for the evening will be Munchies Food Truck, a 50/50 raffle, outdoor lawn games and DJae Mêlée spinning records.

The contest involves teams competing against each other over the span of four holes at Mohegan Sun Golf Club, which was recently named one of the “best courses in New England” by Golfweek. After completing the holes, teams will move to the short game area for a chance at hitting the golf ball into the “ring of fire,” where each team member is given two shots from a 30 yard distance. Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Extends Long-Term Partnership with Mohegan Sun

SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 1st, 2018) – Yesterday at the NCAA Men’s Final Four in San Antonio, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced a ten-year partnership extension with Connecticut-based entertainment venue Mohegan Sun. The Hall of Fame and Mohegan Sun have enjoyed an 11 year partnership and this announcement will continue the relationship for the long term.

“We are very appreciative of our partnership with Mohegan Sun and the memories we’ve been able to create together over the years,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame. “Our partnership with Mohegan Sun has been a game changer for the Hall of Fame and we very much appreciate Mohegan Sun’s desire to remain a big part of the Hall of Fame family for many years to come.”

The partnership will continue to include several annual college basketball events at Mohegan Sun Arena including the Tip-Off Tournament in November.  Mohegan Sun will remain the exclusive sponsor of Basketball Hall of Fame Enshrinement weekend, hosting the Class of 2018 for the annual Hall of Fame Induction Celebration and Ring Presentation at their resort in Uncasville, Connecticut.

With the donation from Mohegan Sun, the Basketball Hall of Fame has surpassed its $30 million campaign goal; the Hall’s campaign will continue however until its scheduled end date of December 2018.  In acknowledgement of Mohegan Sun’s generous gift the organization will receive prominent recognition in the newly renovated guest welcome center at the Hall known as ‘The Tip Off Pavilion.’
