Mohegan Sun’s ultra-lounge novelle is starting Valentine’s Day early with the Sweetheart Special Surf & Turf Dinner for Two. Guests can devour an 8-oz. New York strip steak, mashed Boursin Yukon potatoes, sautéed broccolini and three grilled shrimp tossed in a demi-glace for $100. Pair the delicious meal with a Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Martini for $16, or half bottles of Moët & Chandon for $40 each. The Valentine’s Day Special at novelle is available from 5:00pm – 10:00pm on Thursday, February 8th through Saturday, February 10th and Thursday, February 15th through Saturday, February 17th. BALLO Italian Restaurant is also kicking off the holiday a little early with dining specials that run from Friday, February 9th through Thursday, February 15th. Specials include Frutti di Mare, made of house-cured salmon, braised octopus, Sicilian blood orange and Calabrian chili for $22, and a special Surf & Turf made with an 8-oz. filet mignon, burro bianco poached lobster and roasted asparagus for $72. For dessert, guests can enjoy strawberry & white chocolate cannoli for $12.
Over at Todd English’s Tuscany, guests can enjoy an Arugula Avocado Salad for $16, made with baby arugula, sliced avocado, halved grape heirloom tomatoes, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and topped with a refreshing lemon vinaigrette. Specials also include Lobster Ravioli with black truffle cream, fried shallots and chives for $40, and Steak Frites, complete with a 10-oz. hanger steak, skin-on fries and hollandaise for $45.
Those looking for a lavish dining experience can look no further than Michael Jordan’s Steak House. Roasted Oysters with Parmesan breadcrumbs, black garlic truffle butter and pickled beets are available for $22, and the main course is Chateaubriand for Two, featuring 30-day butter-aged 22-oz. filet mignon paired with a truffled pomme puree and mushroom bordelaise for $130. Toast to the night with Vollereaux Brut champagne for two for $25.
Next door at MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, guests can enjoy a classic surf & turf, complete with a 7-oz. filet mignon, a 6-oz. lobster tail, sweet mashed potatoes, green beans and a red wine sauce for $65. Dessert is a rich chocolate lava cake served with chocolate ice cream and caramelized raspberries for $15. Seal the meal with Cupid’s Kiss, a special Valentine’s Day cocktail made with Van Gogh vanilla vodka, strawberry purée, Mozart chocolate strawberry liqueur and a graham cracker rim for $16.
Sol Toro is also offering their delicious version of Surf & Turf, complete with a 10-oz. New York strip steak, shrimp enchilada and chipotle cream for $55. For dessert, guests can devour the Banana Chocolate Cake, an upside-down banana cake, topped with vanilla ice cream and bourbon caramel for $13. The Valentine’s Day cocktail at Sol Toro is the Apasionado del Corazón, made with Corazón Blanco, Passoã (passionfruit liquor), fresh lime juice and agave for $16.
Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House is serving up their special Marry Me Chicken – sautéed chicken in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce with spinach, bell peppers, Parmesan cheese and fresh basil over a bed of spaghetti for $26. Lansdowne Irish Pub & Music House’s version of Surf & Turf includes a 14-oz. New York strip steak topped with chimichurri sauce, a 6-oz. lobster tail, roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts for $70. Dessert is Fried Ice Cream consisting of deep-fried ice cream coated in Corn Flakes, topped with strawberry compote, chocolate rings and whipped cream for $12.
A prix fixe dinner for two at Jasper White’s Summer Shack is $100 and starts with the choice of a shareable appetizer. Options include Cocktail Shrimp, Mussels with white wine, garlic and herbs, Rhode Island Style Calamari served with cherry peppers and garlic butter, or Sesame Crusted Tuna served with daikon radish and bang bang sauce. Next up is a choice of either a mixed green salad with house vinaigrette or a cup of chowder. For the entrée, options include Shack Baked Stuffed Shrimp served with lobster sauce and white rice, Grilled Tenderloin Steak Tip Frites topped with garlic butter and served with fries, Grilled Salmon with a side of roasted herb potatoes, grilled asparagus and beurre blanc, and Herb Roasted Chicken with mashed potatoes, broccoli and gravy. The Valentine’s Day special at Sushi Koya is $60 and includes Edamame, the Salmon Lover (or Tuna Lover), a Traditional Maki Roll (excluding Rainbow, Dragon and Soft-Shell Crab), two Dinosaur Eggs and four pieces of Sashimi (Chef’s Choice). Guests can add a carafe of house sake for $6. The Valentine’s Day special at Sushi Koya is dine-in only, and the price does not include gratuity or tax.

Environmental Leaders and Future Tesla Owners joined Mohegan Sun and Tesla to Celebrate the opening of Tesla’s Electric Vehicle Sales & Delivery Center at Mohegan Sun and the Expansion of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure to come
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 20th, 2023) – Mohegan Sun and Tesla today celebrated the Grand Opening of the all-new Tesla Electric Vehicle (EV) Showroom that comes equipped with a full Sales & Delivery Center. Attendees
celebrated the opening, the new partnership and the environmental benefits that increased zero emission vehicles can bring to the region.
The new sales and delivery center is the first-of-its-kind in Connecticut. The Mohegan Tribe is a sovereign nation with its own laws, ordinances and governing services which allows for this addition of zero emission vehicle sales to join the Shops at Mohegan Sun. Other jurisdictions which allow manufacturers to sell zero-emission vehicles directly to consumers have seen an increase in electric vehicle adoption which comes with cleaner air and better health outcomes for residents. The partnership will also lead to the expansion of charging infrastructure at Mohegan Sun.
The special occasion on Wednesday, December 20th also showcased some of the very first Tesla buyers taking delivery on their new Tesla at Mohegan Sun.

“Opening the Tesla EV Showroom here in our Shops at Mohegan Sun, with a full sales, service and delivery operation, is the next chapter in our constant goal of creating unrivaled experiences across our 5.5 million square foot destination,”-said Jeff Hamilton, President & GM of Mohegan Sun. “This new partnership allows for a significant upgrade to our existing charging spaces as well, creating an enhanced amenity and more convenience for our guests and travelers throughout the region.”
The Tesla EV Showroom in the Shops at Mohegan Sun is open daily from 10:0am – 7:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and it is open from 10:00am – 10:00pm on 
Friday and Saturday. Visitors can now experience all of Tesla’s products, including taking demo drives of the Model 3, Y, S or X. Guests can also call 860-383-1101 to learn more.

The partnership will make electric vehicles and charging infrastructure more accessible to all residents of Connecticut. Mohegan Sun’s collaboration with Tesla will also result in a substantial deployment of Electric Vehicle chargers throughout Mohegan Sun’s parking infrastructure. A project commencing soon will install 60 new Tesla Universal Wall Connectors to be split across the Riverview garage, Summer garage and Winter garage, which are all connected to the resort. These chargers will work with all electric vehicles so that everyone that may need it will have access to charging. Completion of this project is planned for Spring 2024 and should demand warrant it, Mohegan Sun and Tesla will increase the total past 100. The project currently projects to bring Mohegan Sun’s total to 75 chargers, making Mohegan Sun home to the biggest deployment of Tesla Universal Wall Connectors in Connecticut, and one of the leaders nationwide.
The grand opening celebration Wednesday morning also included comments from Lori Brown, who is the Executive Director for the CT League of Conservation Voters. Brown spoke to how this opening is a win for consumers, a win for the state and a win for the environment and the broader impacts that efforts geared towards sustainability can have.
Mohegan Sun and its parent company, Mohegan, is committed to the economic growth, tourism and community support in and around the regions it operates, and sustainability initiatives is a major part of that continued goal. Tesla will also collaborate with Mohegan to integrate local talent into its workforce development programs, which can provide Mohegan Tribal members and Mohegan team members with opportunities to learn diverse skills and technician training, potentially paving the way for exciting career opportunities with Tesla. Some members of the Mohegan Tribe are already a part of the Tesla team at Mohegan Sun.
The Shops at Mohegan Sun is a 130,000-square-foot two-story dining and shopping pavilion that connects Casino of the Sky to Casino of the Earth. Its breathtaking setting was designed by Rockwell Group and is home to exciting nightlife, award-winning dining and retail locations like COACH, Tommy Bahama, Robert Graham, LIDS, Athleta and Tesla.
The showroom is located across from the popular restaurant, Todd English’s Tuscany, with deliveries taking place nearby at Sky Valet. Test drives for popular Tesla models will also be possible around the resort. Momentum Dollars through Mohegan Sun’s loyalty rewards program (Momentum) will also be accepted for Tesla purchases in the coming weeks. Some Momentum tiers will also have upgraded EV charging perks upon completion of the charging station project.

Those looking to elevate their palate can attend an exclusive pairing session at the Clay Pipe Cigar Bar, where the Barrels of Beam Featuring Laphroaig Tasting will take place from 8:00pm – 9:30pm. To wrap up the opening night of SWFF, the Litchfield Distillery Farm to Table event in Aquai (located in the Sky Hotel Lobby) will allow guests to immerse themselves in an intimate farm-to-table experience from 10:00pm – Midnight. A variety of spirits from Litchfield Distillery, who uses local farms to harvest the crops used in their batching process, will be offered.

To get day two of Sun Wine & Food Fest 2024 started, guests can head over to TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge for the TAO Whisky Dinner. During two seatings at 5:00pm and 5:15pm, attendees can step into a world of elegance and sophistication as they will be guided through the exquisite flavors of Japanese whisky paired with a delicious three-course meal. From 6:00pm – 9:00pm, whiskey enthusiasts can head to the Earth Ballroom for Beam Suntory Presents: Whiskeys of the World where attendees will partake in a memorable night filled with the finest selection of aged spirits from Japan, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, and the United States. Vino enthusiasts looking to secure a sneak peek of the rich flavors, subtle aromas, and exceptional craftsmanship at the Grand Tasting can make their way to the Earth Expo & Convention Center from 7:00pm – 10:00pm for the Grand Tasting Preview. At 9:00pm, experience the Spirits & Cigars Presented by Mohegan Sun’s Barrel Select Program, located at Clay Pipe Cigar Bar, where attendees can savor a carefully curated selection of proprietary top-shelf spirits expertly poured by knowledgeable mixologists. To finish off the night, novelle will play host to Toast with the Host featuring Loverboy Sparkling Hard Tea; reality TV fans can enjoy a memorable evening of drinks and conversation with esteemed hosts, Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula from Loverboy.

With a total of seven events on day three of the 20th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest, guests can expect to meet some of the top names in the industry, enjoy delectable food selections and cherish some of the best wine and beer around. Fans of fine food and vino can embark on a sensory journey through the world of wine at SWFF’s main event, the exquisite Grand Tasting, from Noon – 5:00pm in the Earth Expo & Convention Center. Seasoned oenophiles and curious novices alike will embark on an immersive experience that celebrates the artistry of winemaking all while sampling more than 1,000 varieties of wine, beer, and 
spirits. Grand Tasting attendees can watch live demonstrations take place on The Main Stage & The Coca Cola Stage from legendary culinary experts such as Amanda Freitag, Aarón Sánchez, Marc Murphy, Scott Conant and more! From 4:00pm – 6:00pm in the Earth Ballroom, Salon B, Vintage Cru will give guests an opportunity to step into a world of opulence and timeless taste while engaging in an enchanting evening dedicated to the art of aging and savoring the most delectable wines from all around the world. Each guest in attendance will receive a $50 iGourmet gift card at the conclusion of the event! Clay Pipe Cigar Bar is set to host the Exclusive Antique Collection Tasting at 4:00pm, where attendees will join Katy O’Donnell in traveling through the history of fine spirits to unlock the flavors and stories behind some of the world’s rarest and most coveted bottles. Immediately following the Exclusive Antique Collection Tasting, Clay Pipe Cigar Bar will transform into the Exclusive Pappy Van Winkle Tasting from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, where fans of bourbon whiskey can join Katy O’Donnell once again in stepping into the world of rare and exceptional bourbon with an opportunity to savor the iconic Pappy Van Winkle whiskey collection. Over at novelle, guests can ignite their senses by joining the “chemist” and “cook” from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Dos Hombres Mezcal featuring Bryan Cranston & Aaron Paul. Bryan & Aaron’s profound affection for mezcal led the two accomplished actors on a journey to a remote Mexican village, and they were determined to introduce tequila’s enigmatic and less renowned counterpart to a broader audience. From 8:00pm – 10:30pm, foodies can make their way to the Uncas Ballroom to elevate their dining experience to new heights during the Celebrity Chef Dine Around. Attendees will enjoy a diverse culinary journey that fuses artistry with food, as chefs such as Robert Irvine, Maneet Chauhan, Chris Santos, Rocco DiSpirito and more showcase their signature dishes and creative expertise paired with a wine, beer or spirit. After a day of culinary delights, the festivities continue in Avalon Nightclub from 10:30pm – 2:00am, where guests can celebrate 20 years of Sun Wine & Food Fest at the Celebrity Chef After Party, the most exclusive after party in town.

To cap off the 20th anniversary of Mohegan Sun’s Sun Wine & Food Fest, guests can savor gourmet cuisine and witness captivating live demonstrations from true culinary experts during Brunch with Martha & Friends, hosted by Kalen Allen, from 11:00am – 1:00pm in the Uncas Ballroom. Attendees will join Martha Stewart and sip on cocktails as the queen of hosting shares her secrets, cooking techniques, and personal stories.
