Mohegan Sun Arena to host tour on June 25th; Autobiography Fortunate Son set for release October 6th
Beginning May 2nd, John Fogerty’s highly-anticipated worldwide “1969” tour will launch its U.S. dates with a special appearance, May 2nd, at the Beale Street Music Festival. Newly announced dates include stops in Hawaii, Baltimore, NY, Philly, Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle, Denver and Uncasville, CT for a Thursday, June 25th concert. The U.S. portion of the “1969” tour is set to conclude on August 9th in Albuquerque. Mohegan Sun Arena’s concert is set for 7:30pm, and the CCR frontman will be playing treasured classics like “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary” and so many more from his catalogue of other all-time hits.

Fans and tastemakers continue to recognize her as Pop culture trailblazer and a dynamic presence. She’s nominated for “Favorite New Artist” and “Song of the Year” for “All About That Bass” at 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards, airing March 28th on Nickelodeon. The next day Sunday, March 29th, she will perform at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles broadcast live on NBC from The Shrine Auditorium. At the ceremony, she’s also nominated in three top categories including “Best New Artist,” “Renegade” and “Song of the Year” for “All About That Bass.”

Continuing this incredible streak of success, “All About That Bass” now is 6-times platinum and its follow-up “Lips Are Movin’” went double-platinum, while the sold out That Bass Tour has been receiving unanimous critical praise. Oakland Soul, R&B, Funk and Jazz greats to perform and be placed alongside Wolf Den’s best with special ceremony
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 16, 2015) – Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that the next Wolf Den Hall of Fame inductee will be none other than the legendary Tower Of Power. The Oakland, CA band will be live in concert on Saturday, April 18th at Mohegan Sun. The longtime Wolf Den performers will kick off at 8:00pm and early into the show, Senior VP of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, along with Mohegan Tribal Chairman, Kevin Brown, will take the stage to present Tower of Power with their well-deserved Wolf Den Hall of Fame honor.

Tower of Power’s musical odyssey began in 1968 when tenor saxophonist/vocalist Emilio Castillo met baritone sax player Stephen “Doc” Kupka in July of that year. Originally named The Motown’s, the guys paid homage to the R&B sound that influenced them while adding their own personal twist. In 1970, the now renamed Tower of Power landed its first record deal with Bill Graham’s San Francisco Records. Mohegan Sun’s Signings & Sightings scores a slam dunk with legendary basketball coach Jim Calhoun. Mark the start of March Madness with Coach Calhoun during a special autograph session on Thursday, March 19th at Bow & Arrow Sports Bar.
The legendary Coach Jim Calhoun boasts an impressive list of achievements during his time as a head coach. He led teams to three NCAA national championships and four appearances in the Final Four. In 2011 Calhoun was nominated for the “Best Coach/Manager” ESPY award.
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, Coach Jim Calhoun will only be signing the headshots given out at event OR 1 personal item per guest. This event is bracelet-only. A limited number of bracelets will be distributed starting at 5:30pm at the signing location at Bow & Arrow Sports Bar.
