Special New Year’s parties at Ultra 88 Night Club, Lucky’s Lounge, The Dubliner as well as a celebration in The Shops concourse to ring in 2012
There’s no better place to welcome in 2012 than Mohegan Sun come December 31st.  Festivities will include a live DJ spinning in The Shops concourse, Kevin Hart in the Arena, a special party in Lucky’s Lounge and The Dubliner, an exclusive party in Ultra 88 Night Club, free entertainment in the Wolf Den, laughs in The Cabaret Theatre as well as great shopping and dining deals across the property.
NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY IN THE SHOPS CONCOURSE
On New Year’s Eve, The Shops concourse at Mohegan Sun will be channeling its own little piece of Times Square with the aid of exciting Aerialists performances every hour starting at 9:00pm and lasting through 1:00am.  A pyrotechnic display will also go off at Midnight.  Also from 9:00pm through 1:00am, DJ JP will be on-hand to host a huge party in The Shop’s Concourse.  Hats and noise makers will be distributed to help party goers get ready for the big countdown.  And when the clock strikes Midnight, more celebrations are in store.
ULTRA 88 NIGHT CLUB NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY
Mohegan Sun’s premier night life spot, Ultra 88 Night Club, will be taking calls for their exclusive New Year’s Eve party in which New York City’s own, DJ SL will be on-hand, spinning the crowd into 2012.  Single entry tickets are priced at $100.00 and include a glass of champagne to be toasted at Midnight. DJ SL is the brother of the legendary DJ Skribble and has spun for the likes of the cast of Entourage, Kim Kardashian and even Dennis Rodman in addition to performing at some of the hottest clubs across the globe.
LUCKY’S LOUNGE
Lucky’s will also have a live DJ set to rock the crowd into 2012. JIMMY BUFFETT’S MARGARITAVILLE
Guests can enjoy great food, a fun atmosphere, not to mention free entertainment, all at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville on New Year’s Eve as they will host a special free concert with the band Explicit.

On Saturday, December 31st at 8:00pm, the hugely popular stand-up comedian and actor Kevin Hart rings in the New Year with his Let Me Explain Tour in the Arena.  Tickets are $50.00.
Kevin Hart has burst onto the scene as one of the most versatile comedy actors in film and television. In September 2011, Hart released Laugh At My Pain the feature film version of his comedy tour (under the same name) the movie grossed over $7 million and was the 2011 most successful film that was released in less than 300 theaters.
The LAMP Tour made Hart 2011’s number one comedian on Ticketmaster and in February 2011 Hart sold out the Nokia Theatre two nights in a row to break a record previously set by Eddie Murphy.  Hart’s DVD Seriously…Funny is one of the fastest selling DVDs in recent years and has gone triple platinum.   His Comedy Central special of the same name is the highest rated comedy special of 2010.
The Cabaret Theatre
“The Funniest NYE Party in Connecticut” will bring 3 hilarious headliners Joey Kola, Carie Karavas and Billy Winn to the Cabaret Theatre on December 31st for two shows, first at 8:00pm followed by another at 10:15pm.  Tickets to Laugh-In 2012 go on sale Wednesday, November 23rd at 10:00am. Tickets for the 8:00pm show are $29.75 and tickets for the 10:15pm show are $39.75.
**Both shows will include a balloon drop, champagne toast and party favors. The 10:15pm show features a live DJ and dancing after the performance.
Wolf Den
Nashville’s Space Capone will bring his 70s style R&B grooves  to the Wolf Den for a excellent night of music on December 31st at 8:00pm and 11:00pm.

Ring in the New Year BALLO Italian Style!  Mohegan Sun’s newest restaurant BALLO Italian Restaurant and Social Club will ring in the 2012 with fabulous Italian dinner specials and dancing into the wee hours.
Start the evening off with some creative and indulgent Italian specialties in addition to the regular menu.
The party at BALLO gets started at 11 p.m. with DJ Get Down spinning the latest and greatest tunes of 2011.  Revelers will enjoy a champagne toast at midnight complete with party favors and noisemakers while watching the ball drop in Times Square on one of the three flat screen TVs over the bar.  VIP tables with bottle service will be available in the Social Club.  Reservations are suggested. Todd English’s Tuscany will be featuring a four-course meal that starts guests off with a Scungilli Salad with Celery Hearts, Cherry Peppers, Red Pepper Flakes, Lemon and Olive Oil.  Next up is Veal Ravioli with Mushroom-Thyme Cream followed by the main course that serves a 12 oz. Grilled Wagyu N.Y. Strip topped with Truffle Butter, Butter Poached Asparagus and Lobster Mashed Potatoes.  Dessert will be a Chocolate Mousse Bombe with Salty Caramel Sauce and Cinnamon Gelato.  This course is served at $70.00 per person.
Birches Bar & Grill will have a special New Year’s Eve dish that features a starter of Soup du Jour or Birches House Salad.  The entrée will be a Roast Prime Rib of Beef with Asparagus Spears, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Au Jus and Horseradish Cream.  A dessert is also part of this special.  This meal will be served at $35.00 per person.
On New Year’s Eve & Day, the new Seasons Buffet will offer everything from various Soups like the delicious Lobster Bisque to Grilled Chicken and Penne Alfredo.  Guests can also feast on various Pizzas, Rotisserie Turkey, Roast Prime Rib (after 5:00pm), Steamed Mussels Fra Diavolo, Fried Clam Strips, BBQ ST. Louis Ribs and Roasted Rosemary Crusted Leg of Lamb.  And the raw bar will feature Clams and Oysters on the Half Shell as well as U-Peel Shrimp (after 5:00pm).
