Exploration of Terroir with Neil Bernardi- Migration Winemaker
Presented by Neil Bernardi, Migration Duckhorn
Since crafting its premiere vintage of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir in 2001, Duckhorn Wine Company’s Migration has earned acclaim for a refined and compelling style of winemaking that seamlessly balances vibrancy and finesse. Today, guided by winemaker Neil Bernardi — a cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay specialist — Migration has taken flight. Defined by the idea of movement, Migration is dedicated to going beyond its original home and exploring Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from California’s finest cool-climate appellations. “Traditionally at Duckhorn Wine Company,” says Neil, “the character of a particular wine is deeply connected to a specific place or region. Migration offers a different paradigm. We are starting with a clearly defined style and exploring how that style can be expressed in different winegrowing regions, which is a fascinating prospect.” Join Neil Bernardi in a unique and exciting seminar as he tastes you on his award winning Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from the Anderson and Russian River Valleys. Together you will explore Chardonnay through the lens of its best vineyards, and through the most expressive fruit sources of this white varietal. You’ll then learn about Pinot Noir and how terroir plays an important role in the blending of this red varietal. This seminar will help you gain a better understanding of how a winemaker goes about making a vineyard designated wine versus a blended wine, and reveal many details about the winemaker’s approach and philosophy when making a wine. The seminar will take place from 3:00pm to 4:30pm on Sunday, January 29th at Todd English’s Tuscany. Tickets to the seminar are $60.00 per person.
Tickets for the Grand Tasting, Elite Cru Tasting and Bubbles & Bon Bons may be purchased online at ticketmaster.com, sunwinefest.com, over the phone at 1.800.745.3000 or in-person at the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Presented by Ford F-Series, Country superstar Toby Keith with special guest Rodney Atkins will rock Mohegan Sun Arena on February 3rd
Fresh off winning the “Artist of the Decade Award” at the American Country Awards, Toby Keith with special guest Rodney Atkins will bring the Locked & Loaded tour presented by Ford F-Series to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, February 3rd at 8:00pm. Keith will feature many of his longstanding hits as well as songs off his latest album, Clancy’s Tavern. His latest single “Red Solo Cup,” was recently featured on the hit FOX television series Glee.
Tickets are $85.00 and $65.00 and go on sale Friday, December 16th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, December 17th, subject to availability.
From his first single and #1 smash “Should’ve Been A Cowboy,” to his latest album and Billboard Top Country Album chart-topper Clancy’s Tavern, Toby Keith has been one of the most consistent self-directed hit makers of his era. He’s now in his 18th consecutive year having had a #1 single every year since his first release. This latest collection’s lead single, “Made In America,” hit the top of the charts as one of the fastest rising songs in a long line of chart burners from Keith’s pen. And Toby’s new single, “Red Solo Cup,” has become the most remarkable and commercially successful new country singles in recent memory with a viral video with millions of views while topping the top downloaded country songs.
In the history of recorded music, artists exhibiting that kind of consistency and longevity are in an exclusive club. Keith, however, may be in a class by himself. His albums have sold more than 35 million copies, ranking him among the top-selling all-genre artists on Billboard’s Top 200 Artists of the Decade. Keith is also Billboard’s # 1 Artist of the Decade and #1 Country Songwriter of the Decade. His tours, long sponsored by Ford Trucks, have drawn more than one million fans each year for the last decade including this year’s Locked & Loaded Tour. And his roster of I Love This Bar And Grill restaurants continues to grow. His recently launched signature spirit Wild Shot, has become the #1 premium mezcal in the U.S. These, among other endeavors, have earned Keith annual recognition from Forbes as one of the very top-earning entertainer/musicians in the world.
But Toby’s most rewarding experiences, as exhibited in his continual devotion to them, come from giving back. Whether it’s helping sick children and their families in his native Oklahoma through the Toby Keith Foundation or visiting American soldiers at forward operating bases in international war zones, Keith has never lost touch with the most important things in life. Surely that perspective and work ethic contribute to his ongoing success as a singer, songwriter and entertainer.
Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked the 4th best venue by Billboard Magazine and was the 2008 and 2010 recipient of a Country Music Award for “Casino of The Year.” For more information on concerts and other great events at Mohegan Sun, visit mohegansun.com. Legendary entertainers headline Mohegan Sun Arena on February 24th
Glen Campbell and Ronnie Milsap, two legendary entertainers who have been selling out arenas over the past fifty years, will headline an evening featuring their greatest hits on Friday, February 24th at 8:00pm.
Tickets are $30.00 and go on sale Monday, December 12th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Tuesday, December 13th, subject to availability.
Ghost On The Canvas, which was released earlier this year on the Sundog Records’ label, is Glen’s current album. The song choices trace the arc of Glen’s 75 year history, in the forms of allusions from some of his greatest hits and life experiences. Glen has said it will be his final album. During his 45 years in show business, Glen has released more than 70 albums. He has sold 45 million records and racked up 12 RIAA Gold albums, 4 Platinum albums and 1 Double-Platinum album. Of his 75 trips up the charts, 27 landed in the Top 10.
Since his troubled childhood days in Appalachia, Milsap has been drawn to the simple and plaintive sounds of Country. His voice is well capable of singing Blues, R&B, Pop and Rock, and his 40 chart-topping hits cover a wider stylistic terrain than any other superstar of Country music. Milsap has often described himself, happily, as a crossover artist.
His latest album Country Again, is his first Country- oriented album in six years and songs such as “Cry Cry Darling” and “Almost Mine” are his most traditional Country excursions since 1973’s “I Hate You,” “That Girl Who Waits On Tables” and “(All Together Now) Let’s Fall Apart,” the three songs Milsap recorded at his very first Nashville recording session.
