The kitchen is helmed by TAO Group Hospitality Partner and Chef, Ralph Scamardella, who oversees a menu of premium Pan-Asian fare. Guests can dine on offerings from the sea, sky and land, with signature dishes that have become synonymous with the TAO brand, such as the Satay of Chilean Sea Bass, Lobster Wontons, Peking Duck, Crispy Snapper in “Sand,” and the highly-lauded Tuna Sashimi Pringle. UNCASVILLE, CT (March 19, 2021) – The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTCSB) has named Mohegan Sun in their first group of honorees for their new Hospitality Heroes recognition list. The CTCSB is Connecticut’s only statewide meetings & sports event sales and marketing organization, and works with planners and promoters to book new or returning conventions, meetings and sports businesses. The new Hospitality Heroes recognition program highlights hospitality industry members for their innovative business initiatives and community support over the past year, despite potential financial and health challenges caused as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

FS1, FS2, Westwood One Radio and BEDN to provide wire-to-wire coverage live from Mohegan Sun Arena, March 5th – March 8th.
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 23, 2021) – Coverage for the 2021 BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament presented by Jeep was announced on Friday, with FS1, FS2, the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by SoFi, available on FloSports, and Westwood One Radio combining to showcase all 10 games. Set for March 5th – March 8th, the BIG EAST will play its conference postseason at Mohegan Sun Arena for the first time after announcing a three-year agreement with the 10,000-seat arena located in southeastern Connecticut back in September.
Action tips off on Friday, March 5th with the First Round. BEDN will stream all three games beginning at 11:00am ET when the No. 8 seed faces the No. 9 seed. Play continues with the 7-10 matchup at 2:00pm, before the 6-11 tilt wraps up Day 1 at 5:00pm.
Friday’s 8-9 winner will face the No. 1 seed in the first quarterfinal game on Saturday, March 6th, with tipoff slated for Noon ET. FS1 will provide coverage of the day’s first quarterfinal before FS2 picks up the remaining three games, beginning at 3:00pm when the No. 4 seed faces the No. 5 seed. The evening session tips off with the No. 2 seed against the winner of the 7-10 matchup at 6:00pm on FS2, before the No. 3 seed wraps up the four-game day against the winner of Friday’s 6-11 showdown. UNCASVILLE, CT (February 18, 2021) – In a continued effort to meet public health needs relating to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Ned Lamont, the Mohegan Tribe, and Yale New Haven Health System today announced plans to open a large-scale community vaccination site at Mohegan Sun.
The clinic will open on Friday, February 19, 2021, and will be located at Mohegan Sun’s Earth Expo & Convention Center. It will operate on an appointment-only basis, weather permitting, and is available for Connecticut residents.
On the first day of operations, the clinic is expected to serve up to 300 Connecticut residents with the ability to increase vaccine distribution based on availability. Additional appointments will be added regularly as more supply of the vaccine becomes available by the federal government. It will operate in accordance with existing state rules and procedures relating to vaccine eligibility.
Connecticut residents who are currently eligible to be vaccinated can schedule an appointment for the clinic by visiting www.ynhhs.org/covidvaccine and selecting the Mohegan Sun location. Appointments will also be available through the state’s COVID Vaccine Appointment Assist Line (877-918-2224), which is open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
“This latest mass vaccination site shows the coordinated effort our state is making with our tribal partners, and our partners in healthcare,” Governor Lamont said. “The Mohegan Tribe has taken incredible steps throughout the pandemic to keep its members and residents safe through standing up testing sites, the distribution of PPE, and coordination with the Connecticut Department of Public Health. We will get through this pandemic by working together, especially in vaccine distribution, and that’s exactly what this site represents.”

A traditional Lion Dance took place today outside of Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower in celebration of the 2021 Lunar New Year
UNCASVILLE, CT (February 12, 2021) – Mohegan Sun celebrates the Lunar New 
Year every year with a traditional Lion Dance, which has long represented the exorcising of evil spirits and the summoning of luck and fortune. This year, the ceremony took place outdoors at Sky Tower valet, and playing key roles in the celebration were both Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) and Mohegan Sun executives. Calvin Chin’s Martial Arts Academy performed the incredible Lion Dance, which culminated with a firecracker display.
The ceremony was more limited than in year’s past to ensure a safe environment. The outdoor event was led by VP of Asian and Far East Marketing, Kelly Leung and Director of Asian Communication, Cindy Liu and remarks were also made by both Ray Pineault, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MGE and Jeff Hamilton, President & General Manager of Mohegan Sun.
“It’s great to still be able to celebrate the Lunar New Year – the Year of the Ox – here at Mohegan Sun today.” –said Jeff Hamilton. “We want to thank all of our friends and partners who are here to celebrate with us and we’re really excited about what next year has in store. The ceremony culminated with a spectacular lighting of firecrackers hung outside the entrance of Sky Tower. In traditional Chinese culture, firecrackers were originally used to scare away the evil spirits by its explosive noise.
The Lunar New Year is also being celebrated this weekend throughout Mohegan Sun. Beginning today, the restaurant Phantasia, located in Sunrise Square and inspired by southeast Asian cuisine, celebrates the Lunar New Year with a special menu that will last through Friday, February 26th. Highlights include delicious lobster, fish and fried chicken dishes. Over at both Jasper White’s Summer Shack and Sushi Koya, a special Red Envelope Giveaway is currently taking place, where the first 200 dine-in guests will receive an envelope with discounts and free items, including appetizers and special entrées.

UNCASVILLE, CT (January 28, 2021) – Mohegan Sun regretfully announces the postponement of the 5th Annual Sun Whiskey Union. This difficult decision was made in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as keeping the community safe takes precedence.
Every year, guests gather at the Sun Whiskey Union to enjoy live music and delicious fare, all while sampling an impressive selection of whiskey, scotch, bourbon, rye and craft cocktails. Representatives from popular distilleries and experts are also on hand to chat about their style of whiskeys and other libations.
