Collector Car Auctions, will kick off its 4th Annual Northeast Auction at Mohegan Sun on Wednesday, June 26th, with a special Shell Family Day powered by Pennzoil featuring free admission for high school students (with a valid school ID) and younger. Guests of this year’s Family Day will get an exclusive sneak peek of over 500 collector vehicles before they roll across the auction block, as well as access to the vast sponsor and exhibitor pavilion and the all-new TechForce STEM Center presented by Shell and powered by Pennzoil.
“Shell Family Day will set the perfect tone for our Northeast Auction,” said Craig Jackson, CEO and chairman of Barrett-Jackson. “In addition to the hundreds of collector cars and automobilia pieces on display, we’ll have many exciting activities planned for our guests. The TechForce STEM Center, which will be open throughout the entire Northeast Auction, from June 26th-29th, is a 2,000-square-foot exhibition featuring hands-on activities that allow students to better understand automotive technology through the applications of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). TechForce Foundation is a not-for-profit charity with the mission of championing students to and through their education and into careers as professional technicians.
“Rather than show students automotive displays they can’t touch, we want them to give them a hands-on learning experience,” said Jennifer Maher, CEO of TechForce Foundation. “Our future workforce comprises tactile learners, which means they learn by doing. Chris Tucker is best known for playing the role of Detective James Carter in the Rush Hour film series. He became a favorite on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam in the 1990s and came to prominence in his first starring role, the 1995 film cult classic Friday starring alongside Ice Cube. In 1997, Tucker embarked on his first production as executive producer and co-starred in the hit movie, Money Talks and shortly after appeared in the highly successful Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element.
In 2006, Tucker negotiated an unprecedented $25 million salary to appear in Rush Hour 3, which at the time made him the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Chris Tucker co-starred in the 2013 Oscar nominated film Silver Linings Playbook. His first stand-up film, Chris Tucker Live, was released exclusively on Netflix in 2015, and marked the first project that Tucker has starred in and executively produced through his company, Chris Tucker Entertainment. Tucker’s latest film is Ang Lee’s powerful Iraq war-centric film, Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk. OPUS, Marc Anthony’s first new studio album in six years, and his eighth Salsa album in the 26 years since Otra Nota (1993) established him. Recorded in Miami at Art House Society and Criteria Studios, OPUS is a blistering-hot set of state-of-the-art Salsa that finds Marc Anthony teaming up once again with pace-setting producer/pianist Sergio George, who produced Marc’s first Salsa megahits and co-produced his 2013 album 3.0 (which was certified 8X Latin platinum). Their imaginative, innovative, and massively popular productions revolutionized the sound of music, bringing millions of young listeners to tropical music.

Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, and General 
Motors will auction the last production C7 Chevrolet Corvette during the 4th Annual Northeast Auction, June 26-29, 2019, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. The last production C7 Corvette will cross the block on Friday, June 28th, with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports the nation’s first responders and catastrophically injured service members.
“We’re honored that General Motors chose our Northeast Auction to sell this historic Corvette in support of the vitally important Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Where one chapter ends, another begins. The sale of this final production C7 Corvette Z06 will be the opportunity of a lifetime to own a piece of automotive history. While it marks the end of an era, it also ushers in the beginning of the next generation of America’s favorite sports car.”
The last C7 Corvette will be a black Z06 coupe with a 3LZ trim level to provide the ultimate sport and luxury experience. Powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing 650 horsepower mated to a 7-speed manual transmission, this extraordinary Corvette will also feature a custom leather-wrapped interior package, Performance Data Recorder, navigation and Brembo brakes.
“Barrett-Jackson and General Motors made history when we sold the first-production C7 Stingray in 2013,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “During our Northeast Auction in June, we’ll close the chapter on the current generation Corvette with the sale of the last C7 Z06 that will be built by General Motors. The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation was established in 2002 to honor the memory of Stephen Tiller, a New York City firefighter who lost his life on September 11th. The goal of the Foundation is to continue Stephen’s legacy through its programs that support our nation’s first responders and catastrophically injured military service members.
