Food & Fun Kick Off The Holiday Season At Mohegan Sun This Thanksgiving!

UNCASVILLE, CT (November 8, 2018) – Thanksgiving Day arrives Thursday, November 22nd, and some of Mohegan Sun’s best dining and entertainment options such as Michael Jordan’s 23.sportscafe, Bar Americain, & Carlo’s Bakery are kicking off the holiday season by featuring festive menu items and deals for family, friends, and loved ones to enjoy!

Starting Thanksgiving Day at 11:30am, Landsdowne Irish Pub & Music House has crafted a special that includes house brined and slow roasted turkey breast served with gravy, mashed potatoessage stuffing, a root vegetable blend, and cranberry sauce for $20.00. For reservations after 5:00pm, please call 860.862.7005. Guests can also enjoy karaoke starting at 9:00pm.

Michael Jordan’s Steak House will offer a ginger-brined duck breast & crispy Sous Vide duck leg served with sweet potato puree, roasted heirloom carrots, sourdough pecan stuffing, drunken kumquat marmalade, and a duck demi-glace for $45.00. For dessert, pumpkin crème brûlée, and butter pecan cookies for $14.00.

Michael Jordan’s 23.sportscafe will also have a Thanksgiving Day meal for $29.00. Guests can enjoy slow roasted turkey, either white meat or dark meat, sage veloute, Yukon mashed potatoes, traditional bread stuffing and roasted green beans, and a traditional pumpkin pie dessert for an additional $7.00.

Todd’s English Tuscany is preparing a 3-course meal for $40.00. First is a wood-roasted pear and gorgonzola salad topped with candied walnuts, arugula, a pomegranate reduction, and balsamic vinaigrette. The main course is sage brined natural turkey, sausage potato stuffing, roasted root vegetables, sweet potatoes topped with a pecan crumble, bacon Dijon brussel petals, Grappa cranberry sauce, and giblet gravy. For dessert, pecan bread pudding and vanilla gelato.

Pasta Vita is providing family style dinners for parties and large gatherings. All of the same great dishes that are available at Pasta Vita can be served for as many people as you need. Call in advance to place your order 860.862.8482.

From 1:00pm to 8:00pm, Bar Americain is presenting a $45.00 three-course feast. First is a gala apple salad with goat cheese, walnuts and a pomegranate vinaigrette. The main course is maple-glazed roasted turkey served with cornbread, wild mushroom stuffing, cranberry-fig chutney, sage gravy, and creamed kale. For dessert, spiced apple caramel crêpes.

At Seasons Buffet, lunch will feature carved slow roasted turkey, honey-mustard glazed ham, and a slow roasted steamship of beef. Dinner will feature carved slow roasted turkey, shallot crusted roast Prime rib, and honey glazed ham. Sides include bourbon maple roasted sweet potatoes, apple cranberry stuffing, and pumpkin risotto. Regular hours and prices apply.

For dessert, Carlo’s Bakery has created three holiday bundle packages:

  • The Holiday Dinner special is a $65.00 package fit to serve 10-12 people and includes the choice of two 8” pies (apple, apple crumb, pecan, or pumpkin), a six-cupcake box, and a choice of a five-pack cannoli box, assorted lobster tail box, or a signature lobster tail box.

Mohegan Sun Arena wraps up Thanksgiving Day weekend with two shows from Trans-Siberian Orchestra! On Sunday, November 25th at 3:00pm and 8:00pm, Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) will return to Mohegan Sun Arena for their 2018 Winter Tour, The Ghosts of Christmas Eve. Thanksgiving Specials At Mohegan Sun

Enjoy a $34.00 per person meal at Todd English’s Tuscany from 1:00pm-4:00pm. First course boasts wood-roasted pear and gorgonzola salad followed by a second course of sage brined Heritage turkey, sausage and potato stuffing, roasted root vegetables, bacon and dijon brussels sprout petals, sweet potato with pecan crumbles, grappa sauce and giblet gravy. Pecan bread pudding with Tahitian gelato serves as the sweet treat to round out this Thanksgiving meal.
Ballo Italian Restaurant is offering a $42.95 per person, 3-course dinner including your choice of classic Caesar salad, meatballs with pomodoro and ricotta or crispy pork belly with honey crisp apples, radicchio and chili-infused honey to start. Second course is a choice of five deluxe entrées including a rigatoni with spicy sausage ragu and pecorino fonduta, seared shrimp with honey-glazed carrots, walnuts and goat cheese polenta or a ricotta gnocchi with squash, bacon, chestnuts and apples. For dessert, enjoy a pumpkin cannoli with candied walnuts.

Mohegan Sun Brings Back Restaurant Week

Dining deals throughout property January 8 – 13, 2012
Mohegan Sun introduced its first ever Restaurant Week this past summer; coming this January, the deals are back!  From January 8th through the 13th, several restaurants at Mohegan Sun will be offering a 20% discount including: Seasons Buffet, Birches Bar & Grill, Todd English’s Tuscany, Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain and Bobby’s Burger Palace. (Discount is applied to food purchase only.)
In addition, several other restaurants at Mohegan Sun will be offering select specials including:
Big Bubba’s BBQ is set to offer an all-you-can eat special for $25.00 Monday through Friday (January 9th – 13th).  This includes a House Salad, Chicken & Ribs with Cornbread and a choice of two sides.  Big Bubba’s BBQ is open from 11:30am – 10:00pm on Sunday through Thursday.  Friday and Saturday hours are from 11:30am – Midnight.
At Lucky’s Lounge and The Dubliner, three course lunch specials will be offered from a separate menu that will also include a choice of soda, coffee or tea.  This lunch special is priced at $15.00 and cannot be combined with any other offers.  Guests can take advantage of this offer from 11:30am to 4:00pm during Restaurant Week.  In addition to the above, both Lucky’s and The Dubliner will also be offering a “Fixed Friday” special where couples or friends can get one appetizer, two entrées and one dessert to share all for $40.00 on
Friday, January 13th. Regular hours for both Lucky’s Lounge and The Dubliner are  11:30am through 1:00am on Sunday through Thursday.  Friday and Saturday hours are 11:30am through 2:00am.
Over at Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana get two fountain sodas, two salads and one 16” medium pizza with one topping all for $25.00, tax included. This special is good for all toppings excluding chicken or seafood and additional toppings are available for additional cost. Pepe’s Pizza is open from 11:00am through Midnight, Sunday through Thursday.  Friday and Saturday hours are 11:00am through 2:00am.
At Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, guests can get a double dozen doughnuts and two small Signature House Blend coffees for $14.99. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
And finally, Jasper White’s Summer Shack will be offering a Restaurant Week tasting menu all for $25.00.  It will include Cherrystone Ceviche (two shells, crushed ice, lemon and lime zest). Julianne Salad with Pears and three Fritters consisting of Endive, Romaine lettuce, Purple Cabbage, Lemony Vinaigrette dressing, Corn Fritter, ½ Crab Cake rolled into a cylinder and one top Lobster Fritter.  A delicious Butter Poached Lobster with Mussels and Calamari are also a part of this tasting menu.  The dessert will be Apple Raisin Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream. Jasper White’s Summer Shack is open from 11:30am through 11:00pm on Sunday through Thursday.  Friday and Saturday hours are 11:30am to 1:00am.

Mohegan Sun Serves Up Delicious Thanksgiving Dining Specials

Mohegan Sun will provide a cornucopia of specials this Thanksgiving with delectable entrées and decadent desserts on Thursday, November 24th.
Todd English’s Tuscany will showcase a Sage–Brined Turkey along with Sausage Stuffing, Roasted Root Vegetables, Turkey Gravy, Grappa Cranberry Sauce and a Grilled Housemade Kielbasa. It will be paired with an Apple Pear Crisp with Cinnamon Gelato and a warm Caramel Sauce for dessert.  This meal will be offered at $32.00 per person.  Todd English’s Tuscany will serve a dinner menu throughout the day in lieu of their Tuscan Table and lunch menus from 1:00pm to 10:00pm.
Birches Bar & Grill will offer a customary Thanksgiving dinner that starts out with a choice of Soup Du Jour, Birches House Salad or a Classic Caesar Salad.  The main course includes a Traditional Turkey Dinner consisting of white and dark meat, Apple Craisin Stuffing, Mashed Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, Chef’s Vegetables, Cranberry Sauce and Giblet Gravy.   Dessert will feature a Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake with Cranberry Wine Compote and Spiced Whipped Cream.  This meal is priced at $22.95 per person.  Birches Bar & Grill will be open from 11:00am to 10:00pm. 
 Seasons Buffet will offer a variety of choices for Thanksgiving.  Guests can start off their holiday meal with a creamy Butternut & Apple Bisque. Then feast on special dinner selections including Oven Roasted Dark Meat Turkey, Roasted Turkey Breast and Smoked Pork Loin.  Featured sides include Mashed Potatoes, Sautéed Orange Glazed Carrots, Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables, Cornbread Stuffing, Mashed Sweet Potato Brûlée, Vegetable Rice Pilaf, Peas, Carrots and Pearl Onion Medley, Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon & Onions and a Turkey Gravy.   Guests can find a variety of desserts available such as Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Scooped Pumpkin Cheesecake and Hot Orange Rolls.  Seasons Buffet will be offered at $21.00 per person for lunch and $25.00 per person for dinner, tax included. Mohegan Sun’s Signings & Sightings Presents Renowned Chef Bobby Flay

Famed restaurateur and television personality to take part in exclusive signing in The Shops at Mohegan Sun on October 30th
One of the nation’s foremost chefs, restaurateurs and famed television personalities , Bobby Flay, will be taking part in a special Signings & Sightings event at Mohegan Sun, where he operates two of his restaurants: Bar Americain and Bobby’s Burger Palace.  
The personal appearance and signing will take place on the Spin Street Stage in The Shops at Mohegan Sun on Saturday, October 30th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.  Flay will be signing copies of BOBBY FLAY’S THROWDOWN! More Than 100 Recipes from Food Network’s Ultimate Cooking Challenge (Clarkson Potter/Publishers) his ultimate companion cookbook to one of America’s favorite food shows, Throwdown!  With Bobby Flay.  The book will be released on October 12, 2010 and serves up more than a hundred recipes with features by chefs Stephanie Banyas and Miriam Garron.
