This fall, Straight No Chaser will release a physical version of last year’s deluxe edition of Social Christmasing, which featured an original song “Christmas Show,” written by group member Mike Luginbill and “Celebrate Me Home,” in addition to the album’s original track list, which included their signature twist on Christmas classics like “Silver Bells” and “Frosty The Snowman,” five new original songs, and a hopeful take on the Counting Crows classic, “A Long December.”

Their influence extends from Rob Thomas and John Mayer to Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, and Gym Class Heroes.
Daryl Hall and John Oates’ 1973 debut album, Abandoned Luncheonette, yielded the Top 10 single, “She’s Gone,” which also went to No. 1 on the R&B charts when it was covered by Tavares. The duo recorded one more album with their original label before they signed to RCA. Their tenure at RCA would catapult the duo to international superstardom.
From the mid-‘70s to the mid-‘80s, the duo would score six No. 1 singles, including “Rich Girl,” “Kiss on My List,” “Private Eyes,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” “Maneater,” and “Out of Touch,” from their six consecutive multi-Platinum albums. The era would also produce an additional five Top 10 singles, “Sara Smile,” “One on One,” “You Make My Dreams,” “Say It Isn’t So,” and “Method of Modern Love.”
By 1987, the R.I.A.A. recognized Daryl Hall and John Oates as the best-selling duo in music history, a record they still hold today.
In 2014, Daryl Hall and John Oates were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Tickets on sale Friday, April 29th
Singer, songwriter, and musician Toby Keith returns to Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:00pm on Saturday, July 30th for his 19th consecutive headlining tour.
Tickets are $85, $75, and a very limited amount at $25, and go on sale Friday, April 29th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, April 30th, subject to availability.
The familiar maxim of the triple threat–singer, songwriter, musician–does not begin to cover it for Toby Keith, one of the modern era’s most complete self-directed hit makers. Keith’s most recent years are a remarkably accurate representation of his entire career. In 2021, he was bestowed the National Medal of Arts to honor his artistic achievements and contributions to the arts and culture of America, as well as inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and honored with the Academy of Country Music’s prestigious Merle Haggard Spirit Award for “following his own path, crafting great songs and epitomizing Merle’s spirit.” In October, he released a new studio album, Peso In My Pocket, that led with the single “Old School” which debuted at the highest radio entrance on Billboard’s airplay chart.
In 2018, he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his debut No. 1 single, “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” with the re-release of his debut album (remastered with the addition of three vault tracks). From the moment that song was released and shot up the charts to become his first No. 1, the engine driving everything has been the music. Toby has sold more than 40 million albums and has 32 No. 1 hit singles. He wrote a #1 hit every year for 20 straight years, including “Who’s That Man,” “Me Too,” “How Do You Like Me Now?!,” and “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This.”
In 2018, Keith also released a new song, “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” which was inspired by a conversation he had with Clint Eastwood and was later featured in Eastwood’s movie, The Mule. In 2015, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York City.
Toby’s most rewarding experiences, however, have come from giving back locally, nationally, and abroad. His annual golf classics fund the Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses. His 11 USO Tours to date have enhanced the lives of nearly 256,000 troops and military families in 18 countries with more than 285 events and have been recognized with the Spirit of the USO Award (2014). And when a tornado ravaged his hometown, Toby Keith was the face of the community and helped shoulder the cleanup with the 2013 OK Twister Relief Concert. Triple threat? How about singer, songwriter, musician, producer, entertainer, humanitarian, Oklahoman and patriot.

The record-breaking Rock band is the 36th inductee
On Saturday, April 16th, Mohegan Sun honored the 36th inductee of the Walk of Fame, Shinedown, ahead of their sold-out show that evening. President of Sports and Entertainment at Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, presented the record-breaking Rock band with the Walk of Fame star.
“They’ve broken every record – I can’t even list off the things they’ve done. 10 million records sold, billions of streams, they’re (everywhere) on the Billboard charts. They’re awesome and incredible,” Cantone said before introducing the band amongst an eruption of cheers and applause.
Shinedown band members Brent Smith, Zach Myers, Eric Bass, and Barry Kerch were in attendance to accept the award in front of a large crowd of their most dedicated fans.
“We love playing this Arena,” Myers told the crowd after accepting the award. “It’s probably one of our most favorite arenas to play in, and I’m not just saying that. Everybody here has always been so amazing to us, and every time we come, you guys sell it out. Thank you very much, seriously. It means the world to us to come to this part of the world and have you guys show up,”
Shinedown performed to a sold-out crowd on Saturday evening as part of their Planet Zero World Tour, with Diamante and The Pretty Reckless as support. It was their fifth sold-out show and sixth performance at Mohegan Sun Arena since first playing in 2010.
The Walk of hosts names like Bon Jovi, Kevin Hart, KISS, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and so many more long-time sell-out acts that are enshrined outside of the Mohegan Sun Box Office forecourt. Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame awards seek to recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. All the inductees into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena.
