The Doobie Brothers, who have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide, are scheduled to perform at The Theater at Mohegan Sun Arena on Wednesday, July 3rd at 8:00pm.

The Doobie Brother’s last album, World Gone Crazy, may be the band’s most remarkable for the extent to which it stands completely on its own. Yes, World Gone Crazy is another chapter in one of the great American music stories, but it’s neither comeback nor nostalgia. An exhibition of aggressive and emotional performances, evocative storytelling, unapologetic attitude and world-class musicianship, the collection is its own justification.
In a sense, World Gone Crazy is an analogy for the Doobie Brothers as a whole. With founding members Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons, and 30 year-plus veteran John McFee, the Doobies have perfectly honored the band’s legacy with an offering that grows in unexpected new directions.
The songs on World Gone Crazy all feature Johnston and Simmons as writers and lead vocalists. Adding dimension to the project, in some cases there were co-writers involved, as well as some notable contributions or “guest appearances” by other vocalists.
Aside from a few years of inactivity in the mid-eighties, the Doobie Brothers have continued to perform, create and record for over 21 consecutive years. “The Doobies have always been about playing live,” Johnston says. “We’re not a studio hot house group and we’re not a concept album. That’s the way it’s been from the very first album and that’s still the way it’s being done.”
The Theater at Mohegan Sun Arena, located inside the award-winning Arena, will offer guests the opportunity to see some of their favorite artists in a more intimate, unique theatre-like setup. Hot on the heels of sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall and the Pantages Theatre, and as they come off a hugely successful Latin American run, the Jonas Brothers will embark on their first North American tour in three years this summer as they hit cities across the U.S. and Canada with what will prove to be an epic concert experience for their fans. The Moonshine Jungle World Tour will hit Mohegan Sun Arena Thursday, June 27th
Atlantic recording artist Bruno Mars has unveiled details of his hugely anticipated world tour. The North American leg of “The Moonshine Jungle World Tour” gets underway on June 22nd at Washington, DC’s Verizon Center and then continues through August with a June 27th performance at Mohegan Sun Arena. The announce of “The Moonshine Jungle World Tour” comes just as “When I Was Your Man” – the latest single from Mars’ just-released sophomore album, “Unorthodox Jukebox” – has exploded into the top 10 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” where it joins the album’s blockbuster first single, “Locked Out Of Heaven,” which recently spent six consecutive weeks atop the “Hot 100” chart. The immediate success of “When I Was Your Man” – which additionally earned honors as the week’s top “Streaming Gainer” and “Airplay Gainer” – marks the GRAMMY®-winner’s 10th consecutive single to hit the top 10, continuing his already-established status as the male artist with the longest streak of top 10 hits as a performer since his debut.

Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled including Mohegan Sun’s concert originally slated for March 3rd, 2013.
After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.
Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.
