A day to celebrate, honor and thank our military and veterans

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 14, 2018) –  Join us at the fourth annual Vets Rock event as we celebrate active duty military and veterans with a day of valuable programs and resources on Friday, November 2nd. Some of the special services and activities include Hiring Our Heroes, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, over 100 Veteran Service Organizations and workshops – all free! A portion of tickets will also be donated from Sebastian Maniscalco’s concert in Mohegan Sun Arena by Mohegan Sun to support Vets Rock.

This year’s Vets Rock will benefit Fisher House Boston, Save–A–Suit and Project New Hope. A special thanks to WTNH News 8 and iHeart Media for their contributions.

“As we go into our fourth annual Vets Rock, we continue to look for ways to have the most positive impacts and help our regional veterans. That is why this year instead of having one major beneficiary, Vets Rock will aid three very important organizations in their missions: Fisher House Boston, Save–A–Suit and Project New Hope. These three organizations provide broad support and targeted services to reduce the strain of difficult circumstances including the period of transition from the military, which I’ve always believed was our clarion call with Vets Rock,” said Kevin Brown, Chairman, Mohegan Tribal Council.

Opening Ceremony
Vets Rock 2018 will begin with an opening ceremony at 10:00am in The Shops concourse, hosted by Gil Simmons of WTNH-TV. Join us as we salute to veterans and present a check to the beneficiary organizations during the National Anthem, with FDNY Bagpipers and a performance by the USO Show Troupe.

Vets Rock Expo
From 10:00am to 6:00pm, guests are invited to take part in the Vets Rock Expo occurring in the new Earth Expo and Convention Center. This year’s Vets Rock Expo gets underway with special services and activities for veterans and their families such as a career fair presented by Hiring Our Heroes that will feature 100 employers throughout the region, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, workshops including Prime Lending which will offer free mortgage consultations, free health screenings and more.

Comedy Superstar Sebastian Maniscalco Launches The Second Leg Of His Record Breaking “Stay Hungry” International Tour

Coming to Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday, November 2nd

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 14, 2018) – On the heels of a wildly successful start to 2018, comedian, actor, author Sebastian Maniscalco kicks off the fall leg of his blockbuster “Stay Hungry” international tour.  The tour will make its way across the U.S. and Canada with stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver and Calgary. Maniscalco recently wrapped the spring leg of his tour with five sold-out shows at New York’s iconic Radio City Music Hall. People Magazine’s “The comedian’s comedian” broke the historic venue’s record with his appearances ranking him the highest grossing comedy weekend in their 85+ year history. Fans around the world hungry to see the performance will get their chance as the set was filmed for an upcoming Netflix special to air later this year. Details will be announced soon. Fans from Uncasville, CT will get their chance on Friday, November 2nd when Sebastian Maniscalco will be live in Mohegan Sun Arena at 8:00pm.

Tickets are $149.00, $99.00, $79.00 and $59.00 and go on sale Friday, May 18th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster customers may log on to Ticketmaster.com or call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge By Phone number 1.800.745.3000.  Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, May 19th, subject to availability.

The tour title is appropriate as not only is “Stay Hungry” the name of his new 2018 book for Simon & Schuster, making the national best-sellers list, but it is also his personal motto.

Visit amazon.com/Stay-Hungry-Sebastian-Maniscalco/dp/1501115979.
2018 will also see Maniscalco expand his major motion picture portfolio to include roles in TAG, starring alongside Jon Hamm, Ed Helms and Jeremy Renner as well as Green Book with Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali, Linda Cardellini and Viggo Mortensen. Already hungry for 2019, Maniscalco will join a star-studded cast that includes Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and more in Martin Scorcese’s upcoming film The Irishman.

Sebastian has made a deal with Lionsgate to develop a multi-generational comedy he will executive produce, co-write with Austen Earl (The Great Indoors) and star in. Inspired by his stage routines, which touch on his Italian American family the script will follow two families from different worlds celebrating their first summer holiday together.

Maniscalco was included on Forbes’ 2017 list of “The World’s Highest Paid Comedians” where they praised, “thanks to his enthusiasm and willingness to work, Maniscalco will likely continue to be on Forbes’ list for years to come.” Dubbed “one of the hottest comics” by Newsday and “one of the funniest comics working stand-up today” by Esquire, Sebastian’s live performance has become a critically-acclaimed event, with the Los Angeles Times raving, “onstage, there’s an impatience to Maniscalco’s delivery as well, a hair-trigger exasperation with people and modern life, punctuated with baffled expressions, percussive thumps on the microphone and wide-swung leg kicks more associated with an Olympic speed-skater than a stand-up comic.”

Instead of asking questions – a theme that has served as the foundation for his previous comedy specials and shows like Aren’t You Embarrassed? and Why Would You Do That? – Maniscalco’s new tour has the affable performer instead encouraging fans to follow in his footsteps and “stay hungry.”
Check out his larger than life animated comedy style that elevated him to the top of his game: vimeo.com/levityentgroup/sebastianmaniscalco.
