For the third year running, MGE’s flagship property Mohegan Sun, the East Coast’s premier int
egrated resort destination, was voted “Best Casino Hotel,” in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, receiving the number one spot in the category, along with top rankings in “Best Casino Outside of Las Vegas“ and “Best Player’s Club” for its Momentum Rewards Program. Additionally, MGE-operated Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City was recognized for its on-property restaurant, Capriccio, which earned the number one spot for “Best Casino Restaurant.”
Nominees for USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards were selected by a panel of experts, including editors from both USA Today and 10Best.com, as well as relevant expert contributors. This year’s list of nominees featured some of the most well-known casino and resorts in the United States. Readers voted over a span of four weeks on their favorite choices in each category.

UNCASVILLE, CT (August 3, 2020) – Registration is now open for the 2020 Over the Edge event to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut presented by Mohegan Sun, which will take place on Friday, September 4th. Over the Edge will provide participants an opportunity to experience the thrill of a lifetime by rappelling more than 30 stories down Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower. Beyond the exhilarating descent and awe-inspiring views, the event will help ensure athletes of all abilities have access to life-changing sports, health and fitness programs and that Special Olympics can continue its mission of inspiring acceptance and inclusion for all. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of $1,000 for Special Olympics Connecticut athletes by signing up online and reaching out to friends and family for donations. The 2019 Awards were announced today, with Mohegan Sun finishing in the top five for three different casino categories

UNCASVILLE, CT (July 29, 2019) – Fearless fans of Special Olympics can sign up 
now for Over the Edge – a fundraiser hosted by Mohegan Sun to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut that will take place on Friday, September 6th. Those who accept the challenge raise funds online for the opportunity to rappel over 30 stories down Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower and enjoy amazing views and an exciting and unforgettable experience. Special Olympics athletes will be on hand to cheer on and thank participants. All monies raised will help sustain and expand Special Olympics’ year-round sports, health and fitness programs for individuals of all abilities across the state.

Jasper White’s Sumer Shack has created a dinner special that includes 1 1/2 lb. crab stuffed lobster with corn on the cob and a glass of bubbles. Guests can also enjoy “The Baller”, a $180 raw bar special that includes eight oysters, eight littleneck clams, four cocktail shrimp, two oyster & tuna sashimi, 1lb. of steamed lobster, 1 lb. of steamed Alaskan king crab legs, and a bottle of Chloe Prosecco.
At Sushi Koya, indulge in the Sushi Boat for Two: toro sashimi, kampachi sashimi, salmon sashimi, red snapper, tuna ngiri, yellowtail ngiri, fluke ngiri, tuna maki, one martini bowl, a dinosaur egg and a pink lady roll. Complete the meal with one carafe of house sake.
