UNCASVILLE, CT (January 28, 2021) – Mohegan Sun regretfully announces the postponement of the 5th Annual Sun Whiskey Union. This difficult decision was made in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as keeping the community safe takes precedence.
Every year, guests gather at the Sun Whiskey Union to enjoy live music and delicious fare, all while sampling an impressive selection of whiskey, scotch, bourbon, rye and craft cocktails. Representatives from popular distilleries and experts are also on hand to chat about their style of whiskeys and other libations.

Sun Wine & Food Fest, one of Mohegan Sun’s largest property-wide events, has been
officially postponed for 2021. This difficult decision was made in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as keeping the community safe takes precedence.
Over the past 17 years, Sun Wine & Food Fest has developed into a four-day, multi-event festival. The event welcomes thousands of guests over the course of the weekend and features 30 local and nationally acclaimed chefs. Hundreds of vendors are also showcased to offer the greatest assortment of experiences for guests. Sun Wine & Food Fest brings people from all over for the same reason – to celebrate and experience the incredible art and joy of the culinary world.
Despite the cancellation of this year’s event, Mohegan Sun is still looking to support partners and the culinary community. The 18th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest will occur in 2022. UNCASVILLE, CT (September 16, 2020) – Mohegan Sun is pleased to announce the promotion of Kim Noto to Vice President of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer. In her new role, Kim will take the lead on all marketing efforts, including overseeing Mohegan Sun’s Player’s Club, VIP Services, Hotel Sales & Marketing, Hotel Yielding, Database Marketing, Sponsorship, Bus Marketing and Special Events.
“Kim is a great example of how hard work, dedication and a personal commitment to development can lead to success at our company,” said Jeff Hamilton, President & General Manager at Mohegan Sun. “As our business strategy adjusts for a post-COVID world, we are looking forward to her perspective and strategic decisions.”
Noto has been with Mohegan Sun since 2007, developing a wealth of knowledge and experience through roles that include serving as the Marketing Analyst, Senior Marketing Analyst, Marketing Analysis Manager, Director of Campaign Management & Analytics and VP of Customer Relationship Management. She has a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Bryant University and an MBA in business analytics from the University of Hartford. Kim currently lives in Pawcatuck, CT with her family.

UNCASVILLE, CT (July 29, 2019) – Fearless fans of Special Olympics can sign up 
now for Over the Edge – a fundraiser hosted by Mohegan Sun to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut that will take place on Friday, September 6th. Those who accept the challenge raise funds online for the opportunity to rappel over 30 stories down Mohegan Sun’s Sky Tower and enjoy amazing views and an exciting and unforgettable experience. No experience is necessary. Participants must raise a minimum of $1,000 to rappel and weigh 100 lbs. or more.
For a ninth consecutive year, Mohegan Sun will host this event and many of its employees will go Over the Edge for Special Olympics, along with individuals and teams from area businesses, organizations and law enforcement departments. Special Olympics athletes will be on hand to cheer on and thank participants. All monies raised will help sustain and expand Special Olympics’ year-round sports, health and fitness programs for individuals of all abilities across the state.
