Mohegan Sun will host stand-up comedy Saturday nights in The Cabaret Theatre, presented by Treehouse Comedy Productions
Beginning Saturday, February 13th, The Cabaret Theatre will begin hosting a comedy night every Saturday evening presented by Treehouse Comedy Productions. Comedy nights will begin at 9:00pm with three-act shows for twenty-one plus audiences unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. This comedy series will be presented and staged through a partnership between Mohegan Sun and the well-known, Connecticut-based Treehouse Comedy Productions.
All tickets for February comedy acts in The Cabaret Theatre are $22.00 and are on sale now at the Mohegan Sun Box Office and through Ticketmaster. Opening night of the comedy series will bring celebrity comic Kevin Meaney to The Cabaret Theatre stage, along with special guests Jim Dailakis and Billy Winn. Meaney is one of the most popular stand-up comics in the business with more than twenty-five years of experience. His TV and movie credits include Saturday Night Live, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and the film, Big. Meaney also starred in the hit Broadway musical Hairspray and most recently taped an upcoming episode on the award-winning TV show, 30 Rock.
Jim Dailakis has appeared in television shows on VH1, NBC and in commercials around the world. He regularly performs at the top comedy clubs in the nation, had a role in the award-winning film Mona and played a character with severe OCD in the TV pilot Worst First Date.
On Saturday, February 20th, The Cabaret Theatre will host stand-up sensation Tom Cotter with special guests Kerri Louise and Scott Paparcuri. Cotter’s credits include recently filming his very own half-hour special for Comedy Central; he won the grand prize at the Boston Comedy Festival and was voted “Best Stand-Up” at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. Other television appearances include the Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, the 2008 Barbara Walters Special, The Late Late Show on CBS and NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Kerri Louise is best known for being a finalist on the second season of Last Comic Standing and for appearing on television programs such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The View and The Apprentice.
Scott Paparcuri’s comedy career has landed him guest spots on MTV‘s Spring Break: Shut Up and Laugh and HBO‘s Inside the NFL, among other national programs.
Saturday, February 27th brings stand-up star Andres Fernandez with special guests Tim Young and Rob Falcone. With his fresh brand of humor that is universal in its appeal, Fernandez breaks down barriers of what an audience expects from a Latino comedian. He has several television appearances to his credit, including NBC’s Friday Night, Showtime’s Latino Laugh Festival, Comedy Central’s Stand-Up, Stand-Up, a starring role in the Paramont / UPN pilot An American Family and feature roles in soap operas on ABC, CBS and NBC.

The timeless 1975 musical cult classic will be featured at Midnight with free admission on October 31st in The Cabaret Theatre
Mohegan Sun welcomes the longest-running theatrical release in film history, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, to The Cabaret Theatre. On Saturday, October 31st, guests can dress up and enjoy the ageless classic at Midnight, doors will open at 11:00pm.
Admission is free and seating will be determined on a first-come first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costumes. Face paint will be allowed in common areas of the casino but not on the gaming floor. Masks are restricted to the inside of The Cabaret Theatre only and squirt guns are strictly prohibited.
Distributed by 20th Century Fox, The Rocky Horror Picture Show debuted on August 14, 1975 starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick among others. After gaining notoriety in 1977 with movie audiences as a Midnight movie, it gained a cult following across the United States as film goers participated in the film, dressing up as characters, bringing in props from the movie and shouting out alternative lines during the show. The Rocky Horror Picture Show gained a substantial international following in the late 70s and early 80s, and is now regarded as one of the most-known and financially successful Midnight movies of all time. In 2005, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

Renowned author Lee Child hosts an open forum on Saturday, May 30th, addressing the Jack Reacher series and his latest novel, Gone Tomorrow
Mohegan Sun’s “Winning Authors” series is proud to present New York Times best-selling author Lee Child. The internationally-recognized author will host a live discussion on Saturday, May 30th in The Cabaret Theatre at 3:00pm to be followed by a book signing in the Spring Gateway in The Shops concourse at 4:00pm.
Lee Child is well known for his in-depth development of characters and thrilling storylines. Foreign rights in the Jack Reacher series have been sold in forty territories, and have won both the Anthony and Barry Awards for “Best First Mystery” and the “Nero” Award. All titles have been optioned for major motion pictures. Child’s appearance in Mohegan Sun’s “Winning Authors” series joins the elite class of authors including Sue Grafton, Nora Roberts, Robin Cook and Catherine Coulter.
His appearance will take place eleven days after the release of his thirteenth Jack Reacher thriller, Gone Tomorrow. After five consecutive New York Times hardcover best-sellers and more than 22 million copies of his books sold worldwide, Lee Child promises to deliver one of his most eagerly-anticipated novels to date with Gone Tomorrow.
Hailed by the New York Times as the, “Best thriller writer of the moment,” Child brings his centerpiece character Jack Reacher back into the fold with a modern thriller to remember. Gone Tomorrow is on sale and will be available for purchase at Spin Street beginning Tuesday, May 19th, and leading up to the day of the event.

77 WABC and Lumber Liquidators present “Imus at Night” with special guests “The Levon Helm Band” on April 16th in The Cabaret Theatre
For the first time ever, 77 WABC and Lumber Liquidators present “Imus at Night” on Thursday, April 16th at 7:00pm. This gut-busting night of comedy will feature Karith Foster, Tony Powell, Rob Bartlett, Warner Wolf and the I-Man himself with special guests “The Levon Helm Band.”
Tickets can be purchased through 77 WABC on www.WABCradio.com for $100.00 and will include a cocktail hour in The Cabaret Theatre from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. At 7:00pm the show begins for a hilarious night to remember. The following morning The Imus in the Morning program will broadcast live from the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den from 6:00am-10:00am and free admission will be open to the public. Guests who bring their “Imus at Night” ticket stub to the broadcast will be entered for a chance to win great prizes. All ticket sales will benefit the Imus Ranch for kids with Cancer.
Imus broadcasted his first program from New York City back in 1971. Rob Bartlett started performing stand-up comedy in 1978 hoping it would lead to a career in acting. Nearly 30 years later, Rob has become one of the most versatile performers around. He is a successful actor, standup comedian, radio personality and writer. He has headlined at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Atlantic City’s Tropicana and Hilton Hotels and Mohegan Sun. On television, Rob has appeared as a stand up comedian on the MTV Half Hour Comedy Hour, Standup Spotlight on VH1 and on Late Night with David Letterman and Conan O’Brian.
The Levon Helm Band led by Levon Helm features his daughter Amy Helm, along with Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, Jimmy Vivino, Mike Merritt, Brian Mitchell, Erik Lawrence, Steven Bernstein and blues harmonica player Little Sammy Davis. His 2007 comeback album Dirt Farmer earned the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album in February 2008, and in November of that year, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him #91 in the list of The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.
