Superstar Country singer is the 38th inductee
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 8, 2022) – Before back-to-back, sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena this weekend, Luke Combs was inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame. Greg Romeyn, Director of Sports and Entertainment for Mohegan, presented Combs with the honor in a private ceremony backstage before Combs’ first show on Friday night. The Country superstar and reigning Country Music Awards “Entertainer of the Year” is the 38th inductee into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame.
Combs performed to 9,300 fans on both Friday and Saturday night as part of his The Middle of Somewhere Tour. He has now performed three sold-out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena since making his debut in Uncasville in 2019.
After Combs’ show on Saturday, he made a surprise appearance at novelle’s Luke Combs after party to give away an autographed guitar to one lucky fan. Combs also took the time to sign the iconic autograph wall backstage at Mohegan Sun Arena, which has collected hundreds of autographs from famous performers and entertainers over the years.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry and a six-time CMA, three-time ACM, three-time Billboard Music Award winner, Combs is in the midst of a record-setting and historic series of years. His previous release, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get, debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well as Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. With the record Combs reached No.1 on Rolling Stone’s Top 200 Albums chart, Top 100 Songs chart and Artists 500 chart – the first Country artist to ever lead all three charts in the same week and first to top the Artists 500. He also made history as the first artist ever to have their first two studio albums spend 25 weeks or more at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart – breaking Taylor Swift’s previously held record at 24 weeks.
The Walk of Fame hosts names like Bon Jovi, Kevin Hart, KISS, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and so many more long-time sell-out acts who are enshrined outside of the Mohegan Sun Box Office forecourt. Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame awards seek to recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination. All the inductees into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame have their name engraved on a plaque that will be permanently placed at the entrance to Mohegan Sun Arena. Award-winning comedian, actor, producer, and director Chris Rock was most recently inducted into the Walk of Fame in June.

Rhett shared a light-hearted video revealing jerseys to celebrate the many tour destinations, including the jersey of former WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones of the Connecticut Sun.
About Thomas Rhett
Ten years after signing his record deal with Big Machine Label Group’s The Valory Music Co., arena-packing superstar Thomas Rhett — dubbed “the most reliable maker of No. 1 singles in country music” (Variety) — has 19 multi-PLATINUM and GOLD-certified No. 1 hits, 12 BILLION streams and the longest current active streak of consecutive No. 1s in the format (Mediabase/Country Aircheck Chart). Declared “a prince in the genre” (USA Today), he has been honored with eight ACM Awards including Entertainer of the Year, two CMA Awards, five GRAMMY nominations, plus trophies from the CMT Music Awards, Billboard Awards and iHeartRadio Awards, in addition to being recognized with two CMA Triple Play awards for penning three No. One songs within a 12-month period. The superstar’s critically-acclaimed sixth studio album WHERE WE STARTED is available now, with single “Half of Me,” featuring Riley Green, currently Top 5 at Country radio. Thomas Rhett has also just released his first-ever Christmas collection MERRY CHRISTMAS Y’ALL, featuring his rich vocal and sincere delivery, with a country flair on four favorite festive tracks. Inspired by family, friends and his love of the outdoors, Thomas Rhett is also the cofounder of Dos Primos Tequila and has collaborated with Chaco on an exclusive sandal line. He recently extended his BRING THE BAR TO YOU TOUR into 2023 with dates scheduled for the top of next year in Canada. For more information, visit www.ThomasRhett.com.
About Cole Swindell
Multi-Platinum selling superstar Cole Swindell released his fifth studio album, Stereotype, to massive success. The project has already charted three back-to-back multi-week No. 1 hits: the Gold-certified “Single Saturday Night,” the Platinum-certified “Never Say Never” (with Lainey Wilson) and, most recently, the Platinum-certified, five-week chart-topper “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.” In the seven years since his debut on Warner Music Nashville, Swindell has racked up an impressive 12 No. 1 singles as an artist – 13 as a songwriter – 11 certified Platinum singles (four singles at 2x Platinum), a Platinum-certified debut album (Cole Swindell) and a Gold-certified sophomore album (You Should Be Here). The Georgia hitmaker has over 5.2 BILLION global career streams. His massive, GRAMMY-nominated hit “Break Up In The End” was named the 2019 NSAI Song of the Year. Swindell is nominated for two CMA Awards for Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year for “Never Say Never” with Lainey Wilson. He officially became a headliner on his own in 2018 with his Reason To Drink Tours, and is currently out on the road with Ashley Cooke and Dylan Marlowe for his Back Down To The Bar Tour.
About Nate Smith
With a mix of gritty backwoods soul, rock ‘n’ roll swagger and velvet-thunder vocals, Nate Smith first chased his neon dreams to Nashville in his early 20s – but it didn’t stick. The disheartened Smith returned home and thought he was “100-percent done” with his artistic journey…until a crucible of change burned away the past. In 2018, Smith lost everything he owned in the devastating Camp Fire which tore through Paradise, California. Although his family was safe, he struggled to cope and turned back to music, hoping that it would help comfort himself and others. Help it did, inspiring a month-long road trip across the U.S. to Music City, writing music and playing dive bars along the way. Soon after his arrival to Nashville, Nate released his biggest song to date, “Wildfire,” and landed a publishing deal with Sony ATV. Since then, he’s released new music including “Sleeve” and “Under My Skin,” which has amassed over 70 million on-demand streams to date. The singer was named a Spotify Hot Country Artist to Watch for 2021 – an accurate prediction as he rounded out the year with a record deal with Sony Music Nashville and is now making waves with his latest release, “Whiskey On You,” which is now Gold-certified and Top 15 and climbing at country radio.

Tickets on sale Friday, November 4th
Anthrax & Black Label Society with special guest Exodus will visit Mohegan Sun Arena for one spectacular night of Heavy Metal at 6:30pm on Friday, February 3, 2023.
Tickets are $45, $35, and $25 and go on sale Friday, November 4th at 10:00am through Ticketmaster. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning on Saturday, November 5th, subject to availability.
Anthrax is composed of Scott Ian (guitars), Frank Bello (bass), Charlie Benante (drums), Joey Belladonna (vocals) and Jonathan Donias (guitars). Anthrax celebrated its 40th anniversary in July 2021. In the span of 40 years, the band has released 11 studio albums, earned multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, received six Grammy nominations along with a host of other accolades from the media, music industry, and fans.
In 1991, the band helped break down race and genre barriers when they collaborated with Public Enemy on the track “Bring The Noise” and were the first Metal band to have its music heard on Mars when NASA played “Got The Time” to wake up the Mars Rover in 2012. Along with Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth, Anthrax is a card-carrying member of The Big Four, the four bands that defined the Speed/Thrash/Metal genre.
Everything about Black Label Society begins with the riff. A dedicated disciple of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple, Zakk Wylde looks to the massive guitar hooks in classics like “Whole Lotta Love,” “Into the Void,” and “Smoke On the Water” as guiding lights. “The main ingredient in any Black Label soup is the riff,” says the larger-than-life front man.
Black Label Society builds their music on this simple truth – truth as self-evident on Back in Black as on the dozen songs comprising Doom Crew Inc. – the 11th album from the dependable stalwarts. Doom Crew Inc. is both a tribute to the band’s “first to bleed, last to leave” road crew and a salute to the legion whose support, stretching back to 1998, rivals that of the KISS Army. The Black Label Society biker-style battle vest “kutte” is as ubiquitous at Hard Rock and Metal shows as a black t-shirt.
A charismatic Heavy Metal marauder recognized worldwide as a living legend, Wylde rose to prominence when Ozzy Osbourne chose him as his loyal axe-man, based on a cassette he mailed in as a teen. Guitar World put him on their cover more than a dozen times in recognition of his work on multiplatinum albums by the icon he calls “the Boss” and the two decades of music made by BLS.
Doom Crew Inc. sees Zakk trading solos and twin-guitar parts with Dario Lorina, backed by the rumble of longtime bassist John “J.D.” DeServio and powerhouse drummer Jeff Fabb. Like every BLS album since 2010, the band tracked Doom Crew Inc. at Zakk’s home studio, aka the Black Vatican.
The beautiful simplicity of BLS bangers owe everything to the lessons Wylde first heard on Black Sabbath’s We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n’ Roll. “Less is more with everything,” he says. “Except the guitar solos.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday, October 28th
Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the Rock and Roll era,” Chicago – the legendary Rock and Roll band with horns – returns to Mohegan Sun Arena at 7:30pm on Friday, April 14th.
Tickets are $79.50, $49.50, and $39.50, and go on sale Friday, October 28th at 10:00am via ticketmaster.com. Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Saturday, October 29th, subject to availability.
The tour comes on the heels of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Chicago’s 38th studio album, Born For This Moment, which was released in July. Featuring the signature sounds Chicago fans have come to love, Born For This Moment captures the true heart of this legendary band. Over the entire course of 14 vibrant new songs, Born For This Moment encapsulates the unique blend of award-winning and personal songwriting, multilayered harmonic vocalizations, and world-class arrangements that have been electrifying audiences across the globe for decades.
In September, Gravitas Ventures released Chicago’s documentary The Last Band on Stage, directed by Peter Curtis Pardini and narrated by the band’s longtime friend and actor Joe Mantegna. The Last Band on Stage tells the incredible story of how the 55-year-old band survived a pandemic that stopped the world in its tracks.
“Chicago has faced many obstacles in lasting 55 years, but the pandemic was possibly their greatest challenge. I’m excited for people to see the story of how they got back to the stage to continue performing,” Pardini said.
Chicago’s lifetime achievements include two Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, Founding Artists of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Chicago street dedicated in their honor, and keys to and proclamations from an impressive list of U.S. cities. Record sales top the 100 million mark, and include 21 Top 10 singles, five consecutive No. 1 albums, 11 No. 1 singles, and five Gold singles. An incredible 25 of their 38 albums have been certified Platinum, and the band has a total of 48 Gold and Platinum awards.
Chicago have toured every year since the beginning; they’ve never missed a year. The original three band members are Robert Lamm on keyboards and vocals, Lee Loughnane on trumpet and vocals and James Pankow on trombone. The band lineup also includes Wally Reyes, Jr. on drums, Tony Obrohta on guitar, Loren Gold on keyboards and vocals, Ray Herrmann on sax and flute, Neil Donell on vocals, Eric Baines on bass, and Ramon “Ray” Yslas on percussion.
From the signature sound of the Chicago horns, their iconic vocalists, and a few dozen of ever-classic songs, this band’s concerts are celebrations. The year 2023 will mark the band’s 56th consecutive year of touring.
