For the main course, a Prime Sirloin Steak with wild mushrooms in a Dijon mustard, along with your choice of Yukon gold mashed potatoes or Scottish Salmon with Heirloom Tomato and Cornbread Puree. Over one million dollars in prizes to be awarded as well as car giveaways, celebrity sightings, pool parties and the hottest names in entertainment
UNCASVILLE, CT – Things are heating up this summer at Mohegan Sun with the launch of Hot Summer Fun. Now entering its 17th year, the celebrations, which kick off June 23rd and run through August 31st, will feature over one million dollars in prizes, car giveaways, fireworks displays, as well as the hottest entertainment and nightlife.
Special Events
Mohegan Sun is making a bang this summer with Hot Summer Nights with their biggest rooftop events of the summer. Open to all ages, the fun kicks off at 6:00pm and includes games for kids of all ages and carnival food favorites, as well as an area for guests 21+. These special parties will be hosted on Saturday, July 26th and Saturday, August 30th. NOTE: Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Other various events will be taking place throughout the summer including Mohegan Sun’s Signature Events series. Confirmed events to date include Winning Authors with Sherrilynn Kenyon, author of Born of Fury, on Tuesday, July 1st and Brad Thor, author of Act of War, on Thursday, July 17th.
Mohegan Sun will also be home to the 2014 Connecticut Reebok Spartan Race on Saturday, June 28th. This is the first time the Spartan Race has come to Connecticut. Over 5,000 participants have already registered. Spots are still available; to sign up, visit spartanrace.com.
On The Ball Mondays
Starting June 23rd, guests can test their luck on the Skee-Ball® PowerPlay Bonusing game by simply playing their favorite slot machine. From 10:00am to 8:00pm, each time a guest earns three Status Points, they will receive a Skee-Ball® game. Winners are guaranteed to win up to $1,000 in Free Slot Play instantly. Take Two Tuesdays
Mohegan Sun will have you seeing double every Tuesday throughout the summer. Every half hour from Noon to 2:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, one lucky Momentum card holder playing their favorite slot machine will have a chance to enter the Cash Cube containing $5,000 cash! Throughout the summer, Mohegan Sun will be giving away up to $500,000 with Ca$h Dash Wednesdays!

Each week, one lucky Momentum member playing their favorite table or slot machine from Noon to 8:00pm will randomly be selected to receive a new Fiat 500C valued at $25,000! On Thursday nights, things heat up with the return of GLO. Seasons Buffet has a deal for every meal of the day, and Dads eat for 20% off! Connecticut’s largest BBQ festival heats up the Winter Parking Lot with food, fun and fireworks.
Uncasville, CT (April 28, 2014) – Sizzle into summer at Sun BBQFest and fill your plate with some of the nation’s best BBQ. Soak up the sun, fun and BBQ sauce at the Winter Parking Lot June 20th-22nd. Live entertainment and delicious food provide the perfect summer setting for a chillin’ and grillin’ good time.
Tickets for the event are $5.00 per day and go on sale Friday, May 2nd through the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids 6 and under get in free.
BBQ Meats & Good Eats
A weekend of lip smackin’ good food is on the agenda for Sun BBQFest. The Winter Parking Lot will be smokin’ with the best BBQ for guests to sink their teeth into. Countless food vendors and a BBQ competition sanctioned by Kansas City BBQ Society guarantees there will be plenty of food and entertainment to go around.
Guests are invited to stroll and sample all the BBQ they can stomach including food and treats from Johnny Rocket’s, Ben & Jerry’s and more. Induldge in bacon brownies and chocolate peanut butter bacon from Bacon Bites, or try some quirky flavored jerky from The Jerky Hut. Wash it all down with an ice cold brew from the beer trailer, the perfect pairing for BBQ on a hot summer day.

No festival would be complete without some live entertainment. The Winter Parking Lot spices things up with music, contests and a fireworks show to celebrate summertime and all things BBQ.
Be entertained all weekend long with live music on the main stage. Beach Avenue, Jay Dempsey Band, Red Light and Sugar will be providing the beats for the three-day parking lot party. On Saturday, Sun BBQFest booms with a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks kick off at 9:15pm and are guaranteed to be fun for the whole family.

Todd English’s Tuscany is offering two different dining options to celebrate your Mother.
The first, a Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch from 10:00am-2:00pm featuring a New England raw bar, an omelet station, antipasto displays and more! Tuscany rounds out the meal with many tempting dessert options including an ever-flowing chocolate fountain with an assortment of dipping items.
