UNCASVILLE, CT (December 9, 2019) – On Saturday, December 7th, Mohegan Sun honored the 35th Walk of Fame star, Pentatonix. The three-time Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist were presented with the Walk of Fame star outside of Mohegan Sun’s Box Office by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment’s (MGE) President of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone. The induction kicked off the first night of their SiriusXM Presents: A Pentatonix Christmas Tour 2019 two night show. Band members Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado and Matt Sallee accepted the award and stated, “This is very exciting as we have never been inducted into a Walk of Fame before…Hollywood Walk of Fame see you soon!”

MGE Appoints Ray Pineault Regional President; Jeffrey Hamilton Assumes Role of President and General Manager of Mohegan Sun Connecticut

integrated entertainment resorts (IER) worldwide today announces two important promotions to further sustain and promote the company’s growth and development as part of its strategic growth plan for Connecticut and beyond. After more than 15 years of service to the Tribe, Ray Pineault has been appointed to Regional President for MGE, while Jeffrey Hamilton has been promoted to President and General Manager at the flagship property, Mohegan Sun Connecticut.

Ray Pineault brings many years of legal and business experience to his new position as Regional President of MGE. Ray will be responsible for ensuring that Mohegan Sun Connecticut, Mohegan Sun Pocono and Paragon Casino Resort meet or exceed operational, employee engagement, guest service, cultural, strategic and fiscal plans, while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance. As former President and General Manager as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mohegan Sun Connecticut, Ray has safeguarded and promoted the legal and commercial interests of the Tribe since 2001 and brings tremendous experience to this new position. Ray joins Chris Block, Regional President, who oversees four of MGE’s nine properties in Canada, South Korea, and Las Vegas. Assisting in the day-to-day operations of Mohegan Sun Connecticut under the guidance of Ray Pineault and senior leadership for four years as Assistant General Manager, Jeff Hamilton is poised to take the helm as President and General Manager of the property with more than 15 years of Mohegan experience. In his new role, Jeff will be responsible for achieving overall business objectives and the strategic planning and operational results of Mohegan Sun and will also drive and oversee the development and implementation of capital and operating budgets, marketing business plans, technology, the guest experience, human capital development, and operational business plans.

Female Co-Producer, Director and Choreographer lead a new, exciting and dramatic format.
NEW YORK, NY (November 25, 2019) – The Miss America
Organization is proud to announce a star studded production team, which includes a female Co-Executive Producer, Director and Choreographer, for what will be an exciting new show and new competition format when The 2020 Miss America Competition airs live December 19th on NBC.
For the first time in over fifteen years, the show will be led by a female Director. Emmy-nominated Director Sandra Restrepo has directed a multitude of live shows including the first live televised musical performance from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway sensation “Hamilton“, Radio Disney Music Awards and MTV’s live music series “Wonderland.” Restrepo served as the show director on over 250 episodes of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Her many credits also include “Brene Brown: The Call to Courage”, “Black Girls Rock!”, “Grammy Red Carpet Live!”, and “2 Dope Queens.”
“I am excited to be part of this year’s telecast and look forward to telling the stories of these diverse and independent young women,” said Restrepo.
Also joining the Miss America 2020 production team is Meredith McGinn as Co-Executive Producer. McGinn is the Senior Vice President of NBC owned COZI TV, news brand LX, and LX.TV, an award-winning production company that produces weekly lifestyle programs in addition to live specials and red carpet specials such as The Golden Globes, The Emmy Awards and The Rose Parade for NBC network.

A new format means new moves and “Saturday Night Live” Choreographer Danielle Flora takes the lead in the star-studded crew.
The show is lead by Executive Producer Jon Irwin, President of Irwin Entertainment, Inc. Irwin is the Executive Producer if the new late night show A Little Late With Lilly Singh. His credentials include stand-up specials for Adam Sandler, John Mulaney, Norm MacDonald, and Nikki Glaser. Irwin also worked with Conan O’Brien on his own NBC late-night show and produced some of the most prominent live event specials and nationally televised programming including “Red Nose Day,” “NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly,” “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks,” and “NBC’s Countdown to the Emmys,” to name a few.
Other leading names include Tim Bock as Co-Executive Producer, Lighting Design by Oscar Dominguez of “The Voice,” Production Design by Joe Stewart and the screenwriter Jon Macks who has written for Hollywood’s top television programs, including the most prestigious awards shows, late night programs and television specials.

UNCASVILLE, CT (November 19, 2019) – Four-time Grammy award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees The Doobie Brothers today announced a 30-city North American tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band’s founding. Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons and John McFee will be back on tour together for the first time in nearly 25 years. The announcement came at the conclusion of the band’s performance at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, in which they played two of their iconic albums, Toulouse Street and The Captain and Me. Michael McDonald took to the stage during the band’s encore and gave a surprise performance of The Doobie Brothers’ smash hit single, “Takin’ It To The Streets,” before Pat Simmons announced that the entire band would be teaming up for a North American tour. The 50th anniversary tour will make a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, July 2nd at 7:00pm with special guest The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

Love On Tour stops at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, July 12th
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 13, 2019) – Harry Styles has announced a 2020 world tour, Love On Tour, in support of his upcoming album Fine Line. The extensive run of shows will begin in April in the UK and will travel across Europe and North America before concluding in Mexico. Joining Harry at Mohegan Sun Arena is singer/songwriter Jenny Lewis on Sunday, July 12th at 8:00pm.
