Latifah has had amazing success in Hollywood and became the first Hip-Hop artist to be crowned with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006. She received rave reviews, an Oscar nomination for “Best Supporting Actress,” a Golden Globe nomination and a SAG Award nomination for her portrayal as Mama Morton in Chicago.  She also received an Emmy nomination, a Golden Globe win and a SAG Award win for her role in Life Support. 

Queen Latifah has earned six Grammy nominations as well as a Grammy Award for “Best Solo Rap Performance” in 1994. In 2004, she was nominated for “Best Female Rap Solo Performance” for Go Head.  In 2005, she was nominated for “Best Jazz Vocal Album” for The Dana Owens Album and in 2008 she was nominated for “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” for Trav’lin Light.

Most recently, Queen Latifah took to the stage and small screen performing as the title character in NBC’s The Wiz Live! Queen Latifah can currently be seen in Ice Age: Collision Course which will hit theatres in July as she returns to be the voice of the Wooly Mammoth, Ellie.

Latifah made her big screen debut in Spike Lee’s 1991 film Jungle Fever. She starred in Set it Off, and co-starred in the critically acclaimed Living Out Loud. Following Chicago, she starred in and executive-produced the box office hit Bringing Down the House. Her additional film credits include The Secret Life of Bees, Hairspray, Mad Money, Just Wright, Joyful Noise, The Last Holiday, and Beauty Shop.

In September 2013, Queen Latifah became the host of her very own talk show, The Queen Latifah Show, which she produced with partner Shakim Compere, and Overbrook Entertainment’s Will Smith, Jada Smith and James Lassiter. Sara Bareilles Announces Amidst The Chaos Tour

Live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 12th with special guest Emily King

UNCASVILLE, CT (April 8, 2019) – Grammy, Tony and Emmy award-nominated singer, songwriter, actress, and author Sara Bareilles today announced her Amidst The Chaos Tour.  Produced by Live Nation, the 30-city tour will stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 12th at 8:00pm with special guest Emily King.

The tour brings Bareilles on the road in support of her fifth full-length album Amidst The Chaos which was just released last Friday to rave reviews – with Variety stating it “establishes that there’s no one in Contemporary Pop better at flexing mezzo-soprano sensitivity and social empathy like a muscle. It’s the perfect album for anyone who could use a little fierce snowflake pride.” This marks her first album of original material since 2013.

ABOUT SARA BAREILLES

Sara Bareilles first achieved mainstream critical praise in 2007 with her widely successful hit “Love Song,” which reached #1 in 22 countries around the world from her debut album Little Voice. Since then, Sara has gone on to receive seven Grammy nominations throughout her career, which include “Song of the Year” and “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance” for “Love Song” and one “Album of the Year” for her highly acclaimed third studio album, The Blessed Unrest.  Her book, Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) in Song, was released in the fall of 2015 by Simon & Schuster and is a New York Times best seller. Ozzy Osbourne Postpones All 2019 Performances

Mohegan Sun Arena performance rescheduled to Saturday, June 20, 2020 with special guest Marilyn Manson

UNCASVILLE, CT (April 4, 2019) – Ozzy Osbourne will postpone all his 2019 tour dates, inclusive of shows in North America and Europe, as he recovers from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia.  The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter and 2019 Grammy “Special Merit Award” recipient fell at his Los Angeles home aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery last month.  Osbourne will remain under doctor’s care in Los Angeles as he recovers.  Mohegan Sun Arena’s reschedule date will be Saturday, June 20, 2020. Special guest Marilyn Manson is joining Ozzy for the North American shows.

Says Ozzy: “I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates.  Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now.  I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going.  Just know that I am getting better every day…I will fully recover…I will finish my tour…I will be back!”

The shows will be rescheduled beginning in February 2020 and concert-goers are being asked to hold onto their original tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates.

Earlier this week, Combs made history as the first artist to simultaneously top all five Billboard Country charts for multiple weeks: “Top Country Albums,” “Hot Country Songs,” “Country Airplay,” “Country Streaming Songs” and “Country Digital Song Sales” (dated March 9th and March 30th).

The success comes on the heels of Combs’ 2x Platinum single, “Beautiful Crazy,” which remains #1 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart for the third-straight week and holds strong at #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for the fifth-straight week.
