UNCASVILLE, CT (January 16, 2020) – Mohegan Sun’s 17th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest takes place Friday, January 24th – Sunday, January 26th, and a variety of celebrities are joining in on the fun with appearances at the Bourbon Tasting, Grand Tasting, Celebrity Chef Dine Around and more! Tickets to all events are still available for purchase via ticketmaster.com and the Mohegan Sun Box Office. Ticket prices are subject to increase the day of the events.
The Bourbon Tasting presented by Beam Suntory, Inc. takes place on Friday, January 24th in the Earth Ballroom and will feature a special appearance by 20-year NBA all-star Charles Oakley. Charles most well-known for his time with the New York Knicks in the 90s as a hard playing Power Forward. Guests can get a taste of the finest bourbon from Jim Beam, devour tasty selections from Bear’s Restaurant group and receive a cigar from BoutiqueCigar.com. The Bourbon Tasting presented by Beam Suntory Inc. takes place from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and tickets are $90.
At the Grand Tasting preview, guests can get a sneak peek of the main event while enjoying a performance by Maggie Rose on the Coca-Cola Kitchen Stage. A woman of exceptional versatility and variety, Maggie Rose draws from the many musical genres at play – a love of storytelling and substantive lyrics learned from Country music, an affinity for finely crafted Pop production, R&B’s commitment to an irresistible groove. Maggie Rose is also set to perform a free show in the Wolf Den on Thursday, January 23rd at 8:00pm. Additionally, Ben Robinson of Bravo’s hit series Below Deck/Below Deck Mediterranean will show off his skills with a chef demonstration on the Main Stage presented by Gotham Steel Stack Master. The Grand Tasting Preview takes place in the Earth Expo Center on Friday, January 24th from 7:00pm – 10:00pm. Tickets are $45, with designated driver tickets available for $20.
The Grand Tasting will introduce a new chef to Sun Wine & Food Fest. Richard Blais, winner of Bravo’s Top Chef All-Stars and recurring judge on Top Chef and Master Chef will join some of the best in the business with a variety of electrifying chef demonstrations on the Main Stage presented by Gotham Steel Stack Master. The Grand Tasting in the Earth Expo Center is from Noon – 5:00pm on Saturday, January 25th and tickets are $95. Designated driver tickets are available for $20.
The Celebrity Chef Dine Around presented by Hendrick’s Gin will tease a taste of TAO with a showcase of dining options by Ralph Scamardella, Partner/Chef with Tao Group Hospitality. TAO Restaurant at Mohegan is set to open this year, featuring a menu of elevated Pan-Asian fare, a beverage program catering to Asian tastes and a robust sake program. Over 25 celebrity chefs will also participate in Mohegan Sun’s signature walk-around event, creating signature food items paired with a wine, beer or spirit. Other celebrity appearances during this event include Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta and newly-crowned Miss America Camille Schrier. Music will be provided by DJ Irie. Celebrity Chef Dine Around is from 8:00pm – 10:30pm on Saturday, January 25th in the Uncas Ballroom. Tickets are $190.
Sun Wine & Food Fest’s Sunday Brunch will be kicked up a notch with the Brunch Battle. Two Connecticut-based chefs will go head-to-head with only 30 minutes to create the best dish to present to celebrity chef judges Aarón Sánchez, Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy and Maneet Chauhan. Norwich native Ceil Vardar, food writer, cooking instructor and winner of Food Network’s Chopped will face Daniel Monroe, a former US Army culinary specialist and current chef at Fairfield Connecticut’s gourmet grocery store, The Pantry. The winner will receive a $1,000 Mohegan Sun gift card, have their brunch item added to a special featured menu at Todd English’s Tuscany and earn the title of “Brunch Battle Champion”. This event is from 10:00am – 1:00pm in the Uncas Ballroom, tickets are $90.
Mohegan Sun’s newest ultra-lounge novelle wraps up the Sun Wine & Food Fest weekend on Sunday, January 26th with the Champagne Brunch presented by Truly Hard Seltzer. Guests can mix and mingle with Tom & Tom from Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, Miss America, Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill while Brandi Cyrus spins a live DJ set. Live December 20th with The Mohegan Sun All-Stars
UNCASVILLE, CT (December 10, 2019) – Mohegan Sun All-Stars founder and famed front man, David Foster, will be singing to his fans for the last time on Friday, December 20th in Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den. It’s a retirement from a passion he’s enjoyed for a lifetime due to health issues.
David helped form Mohegan Suns first and only “house band,” David Foster & The Mohegan Sun All-Stars, who have performed for over twenty years. The band was inducted into the Wolf Den Hall of Fame on June 15, 2015. For decades, David Foster, owner of Shaboo Productions, has produced countless fundraising concerts to support local non-profit organizations. He gave his voice and band while he showcased many notable entertainers that delighted audiences while giving back to his community.
“David Foster has long been part of Mohegan’s entertainment family and will be forever part of our history,” states Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment’s (MGE) President of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone. “He helped put Mohegan Sun’s Wolf Den on the map and was our first and only house band to play in the venue over a span of two decades. We will be forever grateful for the magic he and his band created on stage for all to enjoy and remember forever!”

Charity concert with top Country artist Chris Janson set for Friday, October 25th in the Wolf Den
WHAT: MADD About Chris Janson – a Mothers Against Drunk Driving 11th Annual Charity Concert returns to Mohegan Sun. MADD is teaming up with Mohegan Sun, WCTY, New London Day, Buckley Wynne & Parese, Faxon Law Group, Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder PC, Hoffman Auto Group, Outfront Media, Fundación Mapfre, and CMRK, Inc. This year’s MADD concert in the Wolf Den is a free event!
WHEN/ WHERE: Friday, October 25th at 8:00pm; Wolf Den at Mohegan Sun
IN DETAIL: Taking over the Wolf Den, MADD About Chris Janson, will be the featured entertainment for the 11th annual MADD benefit. Longtime supporter and radio host, Shelly Martinez of WCTY – FM, will also be on – hand to give a special message before the concert. Festivities will include a silent auction at The Shops at Mohegan Sun starting at Noon to 10:00pm.
Donations to MADD will be accepted at the auction table throughout the night. All proceeds benefit MADD.
Wolf Den performances are free and open to the public. Must be 21 years of age to enter the Wolf Den. Lines form early and seats are given on a first – come, first – serve basis until we are at full capacity. Limited seating available.

IN DETAIL: Mohegan Sun & Hall Communications are back hosting another exciting 5 – week contest, where 16 local bands and musicians, four per week, will compete live at the Wolf Den. The four bands/musicians that receive the most overall votes from the audience will compete in the finals on December 12th in front of expert judges to vie for the $5,000 grand prize, second place receives $1,000. Come out and vote for your favorite!
Enjoy $3.00 Bud & Bud Light specials and text to vote for your favorite! The voting period for each act is open on the night of their performances from the hours of 8:00pm – 11:59pm. Voters can text in their vote up to a maximum of 5 times. The top four bands from each night with the highest votes will perform on December 12th.
