This festival will feature more than 30 food trucks, live music, entertainment for kids, face painting, field games and so much more. Saturday night ends with an explosive fireworks show at 9:15pm. A truly unique event where you can linger until you have sampled all of the best of what the New England Food Truck Festival has to offer!

Early Access: VIP tickets provide guests with an early access pass into the festival from 11:00am – Noon. In addition to early access, the VIP ticket also includes one draft beer or non-alcoholic beverage of choice and one pre-selected menu item from select vendors.
Admission: $6.00 for one-day tickets purchased in advance, $8.00 for tickets purchased the day of the festival, and $10.00 for two-day tickets. VIP tickets are $35.00 and only available for purchase online. Children under the age of six receive free admission. Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite or at the festival entrance.

Popular festival returns June 1st & 2nd, rain or shine
Uncasville, CT (April 5, 2019) – Mohegan Sun is gearing up once again to celebrate the best in barbecue with lots of food, cold beer, hand-crafted cocktails, live music and so much more at the 7th Annual Sun BBQ Fest. It all goes down in the Winter Parking Lot on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd – guests can enjoy full plate vending from nationally-acclaimed BBQ teams, sample small bites in the People’s Choice Competition or participate in the annual Wing and Rib Competition. Sun BBQ Fest also features a barbecue competition with over 50 teams, sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. Over two days, over $25,000 will be given in prize money.
Tickets are $5.00 per day or $8.00 for the whole weekend and on sale now at Mohegan Sun Box Office. Kids ages six and under receive free admission. Admission tickets and $1.00 tickets for food and beverages will be also be available for purchase at the festival entrance.
Ribs & Wings Galore
Guests can feast throughout the day by participating in the People’s Choice Contest. Twenty Kansas City BBQ Society teams will offer $2.00 BBQ samples all weekend long, and guests can vote for the best in show. Voting will be open from Saturday at 11:00am until Sunday at 3:00pm and the winners will be announced on Sunday at 4:00pm.
In addition to the People’s Choice competition, guests can indulge at the Rib and Wing Challenges. All Kansas City BBQ Society competitors will be given racks of ribs and loads of chicken wings to prepare in any flavor they wish. For $5.00, guests can taste any five ribs or wings and help determine who reigns supreme. Winners will be announced on Saturday evening prior to the fireworks show presented by Liberty Bank, and a portion of the proceeds from both competitions benefit Operation BBQ Relief, an organization dedicated to providing meals to disaster-stricken communities across the U.S. The Rib Challenge Tent is open to guests on Saturday from Noon – 2:30pm, and the Wing Challenge Tent is open on Saturday from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.
Sun BBQ Fest wouldn’t be complete without entertainment!
Celebrity chef and BBQ expert Myron Mixon helps get the Winter Lot smoking with two chef demos at 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Myron has won more barbecue competitions than anyone else in the world, including 200 grand championships, over 1,800 trophies, 30 state championships and more. On TV, Myron is the Executive Producer and host of BBQ Rules and star of two other hit television shows BBQ Pitmasters and BBQ Pitwars on Discovery’s Destination America.
End Saturday with a bang! An electrifying firework display presented by Liberty Bank starts at 9:15pm. All day Sunday, live music will be provided on the Main Stage to keep the party rolling.

2019: The Year of the Pig
UNCASVILLE, CT (January 30, 2019) – Mohegan Sun is getting ready to celebrate the Year of the Pig this February. Following the tradition, Mohegan Sun is ringing in the Lunar New Year with a variety of events including A-Lin inside Mohegan Sun Arena, a traditional Chinese cultural arts demonstration and Lion Dance, the Money God, Red Envelope giveaways, special menu items at Sunrise Square and more!
The celebrations begin with a performance in Mohegan Sun Arena by A-Lin from Taiwan. The show will take place at 1:00am on Sunday, February 3rd and tickets are VIP $188.00, $148.00, $118.00, $98.00 and $68.00 and are on sale now.
Beginning Tuesday, February 5th, Red Envelopes will be distributed to Momentum members with valid ID for Asian bus line runs. The giveaway starts the first day of the Lunar New Year and lasts through Monday, February 11th. During this period, guests who ride the Asian buses can receive a Red Envelope with cash varying from $5.00 to $100.00 inside. The Money God will also visit The Shops concourse from Noon to 2:00pm on Sunday, February 10th for another Red Envelope giveaway and photo opportunity. Miss NY Chinese Pageant 2018 winners will be present to greet guests. There will also be Chinese arts and crafts demonstrations such as calligraphy and paper-cutting.
Also on Sunday, February 10th, don’t miss the traditional Lion Dance that will tour through the Mohegan Sun property. The Lion Dance has long symbolized the exorcising of evil spirits and summoning luck and fortune. The performance will start at 2:00pm heading from Sunrise Square and making its way through Casino of the Sky and Casino of the Wind.
The Chairman of the Mohegan Tribe, Kevin Brown, Mohegan Sun’s President and General Manager, Raymond Pineault, and Vice President of Asian and Far East Marketing, Kelly Leung, will be present in addition to the Money God and Miss NY Chinese Pageant winners.

UNCASVILLE, CT (June 25, 2018) – Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions®, delivered another incredible record-breaking automotive celebration during its 3rd Annual Northeast Auction, June 20-23, 2018, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. During the four-day event, 662 vehicles crossed the block with a 99.25 percent sell through rate, selling for more than $24.9 million, while 457 pieces of automobilia brought in over $832,000. Barrett-Jackson also fueled support for charity by raising $1.245 million from the sale of five vehicles, including the historic sale of Dodge’s last production 2017 Viper and 2018 Challenger SRT Demon for $1 million. In total, Barrett-Jackson set a Northeast Auction sales record, reaching nearly $27 million in total sales.
Celebrities, including actor and pro wrestler Bill Goldberg, NBA star Ray Allen, NFL player Barkevious Mingo and comedian Jeff Ross were on-site to join in the high-octane auction action. Barrett-Jackson’s Super Saturday was full of adrenaline-filled fun and included a stop from goldRush Rally as they kicked off their 10th Anniversary Rally, which will stop in 10 cities over 10 days across the United States. The rally is comprised of some of the most passionate auto enthusiasts driving the most spectacular supercars on the planet, and this was the first time in goldRush’s history that the rally stopped at a collector car auction during their epic drives.

Charity sales took center stage during the Northeast Auction with the sale of five vehicles that raised a total of $1.245 million. Pro wrestler Bill Goldberg was on the block to amp up excitement for the last-production models of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (Lot #3002.1) and 2017 Dodge Viper (Lot #3002). The pair crossed the block on Saturday and together hammered in for $1 million to benefit the United Way. The $100,000 buy fee was donated to Barrett-Jackson’s yearlong Driven Hearts campaign supporting the American Heart Association. On Saturday evening, a ’88 Corvette 35th Anniversary Edition (Lot #3003) sold for $60,000 benefitting the American Heart Association. On Friday, a ’71 Corvette Sting Ray (Lot #3000) sold to benefit The Klingberg Family Centers and a ’70 Chevrolet C10 Pickup (Lot #3001) sold to benefit the American Red Cross.

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 31, 2018) – A historic Super Saturday is heading to Barrett-Jackson’s 3rd Annual Northeast Auction as the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions® has teamed up with Shell and Pennzoil to host goldRush Rally during the final day of the auction, June 23, 2018, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. It will be the rally’s first stop during its 10-year anniversary event and the first time in goldRush’s history the rally has stopped at an auction during their epic drives.

During the stop in Connecticut on June 23rd – on its way to New York – the cars will be staged in the parking lot at Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar for fans to see while rally participants visit the auction inside Mohegan Sun.
In addition, goldRush Rally will show support for the Driven Hearts campaign, Barrett-Jackson’s yearlong charity initiative supporting the American Heart Association. Participants will be using #DrivenHearts during their event and many of the cars will feature a #DrivenHearts decal.
