Charity concert with Top Country Female Artist Maren Morris set for Friday, October 26th in the Wolf Den

IN DETAIL: Taking over the Wolf Den, MADD About Maren Morris with special guest Nick Wayne will be the featured entertainment for the 10th annual MADD benefit. Longtime supporter and radio host, Shelly Martinez of WCTY – FM, will also be on – hand to give a special message before the concert. Festivities will include a silent auction at The Shops at Mohegan Sun starting at 5:00pm and throughout the night.
Donations to MADD will be accepted at the auction table throughout the night. All proceeds benefit MADD.

Twenty – seven year old Columbia Nashville singer/songwriter Maren Morris has quickly established herself with vocal stylings that reflect her Country, Folk and Pop influences. UNCASVILLE, CT (June 25, 2018) – Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions®, delivered another incredible record-breaking automotive celebration during its 3rd Annual Northeast Auction, June 20-23, 2018, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. During the four-day event, 662 vehicles crossed the block with a 99.25 percent sell through rate, selling for more than $24.9 million, while 457 pieces of automobilia brought in over $832,000. Barrett-Jackson also fueled support for charity by raising $1.245 million from the sale of five vehicles, including the historic sale of Dodge’s last production 2017 Viper and 2018 Challenger SRT Demon for $1 million. In total, Barrett-Jackson set a Northeast Auction sales record, reaching nearly $27 million in total sales.
Celebrities, including actor and pro wrestler Bill Goldberg, NBA star Ray Allen, NFL player Barkevious Mingo and comedian Jeff Ross were on-site to join in the high-octane auction action. Barrett-Jackson’s Super Saturday was full of adrenaline-filled fun and included a stop from goldRush Rally as they kicked off their 10th Anniversary Rally, which will stop in 10 cities over 10 days across the United States. The rally is comprised of some of the most passionate auto enthusiasts driving the most spectacular supercars on the planet, and this was the first time in goldRush’s history that the rally stopped at a collector car auction during their epic drives.

Charity sales took center stage during the Northeast Auction with the sale of five vehicles that raised a total of $1.245 million. Pro wrestler Bill Goldberg was on the block to amp up excitement for the last-production models of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (Lot #3002.1) and 2017 Dodge Viper (Lot #3002). The pair crossed the block on Saturday and together hammered in for $1 million to benefit the United Way. The $100,000 buy fee was donated to Barrett-Jackson’s yearlong Driven Hearts campaign supporting the American Heart Association. On Saturday evening, a ’88 Corvette 35th Anniversary Edition (Lot #3003) sold for $60,000 benefitting the American Heart Association. On Friday, a ’71 Corvette Sting Ray (Lot #3000) sold to benefit The Klingberg Family Centers and a ’70 Chevrolet C10 Pickup (Lot #3001) sold to benefit the American Red Cross.

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 14, 2018) – Join us at the fourth annual Vets Rock event as we celebrate active duty military and veterans with a day of valuable programs and resources on Friday, November 2nd. Some of the special services and activities include Hiring Our Heroes, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, over 100 Veteran Service Organizations and workshops – all free! This year’s Vets Rock Expo gets underway with special services and activities for veterans and their families such as a career fair presented by Hiring Our Heroes that will feature 100 employers throughout the region, Save–A–Suit professional attire fitting, workshops including Prime Lending which will offer free mortgage consultations, free health screenings and more.

UNCASVILLE, CT (May 9, 2018) – Taking place right at dusk on Friday, May 18th, The Young Leaders of United Way of Southeastern CT & Mohegan Sun are teaming up for a special golf competition benefiting important local causes. Mohegan Sun Golf Club, located at 7 Dows Lane in Baltic, CT, will be hosting a “Glow Golf” event, where teams of four will compete
against each other to win overnight hotel stays at Mohegan Sun. The action kicks off at 6:00pm, lasting through 11:00pm and is a 21 and over event! On-hand for the evening will be Munchies Food Truck, a 50/50 raffle, outdoor lawn games and DJae Mêlée spinning records.

The contest involves teams competing against each other over the span of four holes at Mohegan Sun Golf Club, which was recently named one of the “best courses in New England” by Golfweek. After completing the holes, teams will move to the short game area for a chance at hitting the golf ball into the “ring of fire,” where each team member is given two shots from a 30 yard distance. UNCASVILLE, CT (April 24, 2018) – At a press event this morning held at NasKart, the 110,000 square-foot entertainment center in Montville, CT, that’s home to the world’s largest indoor mutli-level go-kart racing track, executives from both NasKart and Mohegan Sun announced an exciting new partnership, that includes the re-naming of the facility to “Supercharged Powered By Mohegan Sun.” Benefits for members of Mohegan Sun’s Rewards program, Momentum, is also a key part of the deal.
