Dates for “THE GREAT UNKNOWN 2015” – which herald the multiple-GRAMMY® Award-winning singer/songwriter’s hugely anticipated new album – get underway June 11th at Orillia, Ontario’s Casino Rama Resort Stephens Auditorium and then continue through August 10th. Thomas is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on his long awaited third solo album, his first in more than six years. The new album – which follows 2009’s acclaimed CRADLESONG – is slated for release in late summer.

Mohegan Sun Arena to host tour on June 25th; Autobiography Fortunate Son set for release October 6th
Beginning May 2nd, John Fogerty’s highly-anticipated worldwide “1969” tour will launch its U.S. dates with a special appearance, May 2nd, at the Beale Street Music Festival. Newly announced dates include stops in Hawaii, Baltimore, NY, Philly, Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle, Denver and Uncasville, CT for a Thursday, June 25th concert. The U.S. portion of the “1969” tour is set to conclude on August 9th in Albuquerque. Mohegan Sun Arena’s concert is set for 7:30pm, and the CCR frontman will be playing treasured classics like “Fortunate Son,” “Proud Mary” and so many more from his catalogue of other all-time hits.

Oakland Soul, R&B, Funk and Jazz greats to perform and be placed alongside Wolf Den’s best with special ceremony
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 16, 2015) – Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that the next Wolf Den Hall of Fame inductee will be none other than the legendary Tower Of Power. The Oakland, CA band will be live in concert on Saturday, April 18th at Mohegan Sun. The longtime Wolf Den performers will kick off at 8:00pm and early into the show, Senior VP of Sports & Entertainment, Tom Cantone, along with Mohegan Tribal Chairman, Kevin Brown, will take the stage to present Tower of Power with their well-deserved Wolf Den Hall of Fame honor.
About Tower of Power:
Tower of Power’s musical odyssey began in 1968 when tenor saxophonist/vocalist Emilio Castillo met baritone sax player Stephen “Doc” Kupka in July of that year. Originally named The Motown’s, the guys paid homage to the R&B sound that influenced them while adding their own personal twist. In 1970, the now renamed Tower of Power landed its first record deal with Bill Graham’s San Francisco Records. Their next album, Bump City, was recorded on Warner Brothers and produced a string of hits giving the band its first national exposure. At least 60 talented musicians have toured or recorded with the band in its 47 years and they have been featured with artists as diverse as Aerosmith, Elton John, Little Feat, Phish, Santana, Heart and many others, forever infusing the radio airwaves with Tower’s musical DNA. Mohegan Sun’s Signings & Sightings scores a slam dunk with legendary basketball coach Jim Calhoun. Mark the start of March Madness with Coach Calhoun during a special autograph session on Thursday, March 19th at Bow & Arrow Sports Bar.
The legendary Coach Jim Calhoun boasts an impressive list of achievements during his time as a head coach. He led teams to three NCAA national championships and four appearances in the Final Four. In 2011 Calhoun was nominated for the “Best Coach/Manager” ESPY award.
*Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time restrictions, Coach Jim Calhoun will only be signing the headshots given out at event OR 1 personal item per guest. This event is bracelet-only. A limited number of bracelets will be distributed starting at 5:30pm at the signing location at Bow & Arrow Sports Bar. Participants must have a bracelet in order to gain entry into the signing line. Photos taken with personal cameras are prohibited. Must be 21 or over to attend.

Rock This Country Tour heads to Mohegan Sun Arena on July 3rd
UNCASVILLE, CT (March 4, 2015) – One of the world’s best-selling female artists in history, Shania Twain, has announced her first North American tour in more than 11 years entitled ROCK THIS COUNTRY. The 48 date run comes hot on the heels of her hit two-year residency in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Mohegan Sun Arena welcomes Shania Twain for a Friday, July 3rd concert, beginning at 7:30pm and features Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter, Gavin DeGraw.
Tickets are $180.00, $130.00 and $100.00 go on sale Friday, March 20th through Ticketmaster at 10:00am.
