UNCASVILLE, CT (January 17, 2020) – Today, multi-platinum Rock band Barenaked Ladies announce their extensive Last Summer On Earth tour of North America in 2020. Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket will round out the incredible lineup and perform at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, July 11th at 7:00pm.

Following their critically-acclaimed 2019 tour with Hootie & the Blowfish, Barenaked Ladies is ready to hit the road again and bring out all the fan favorites that have built them a long-lasting career and worldwide fanbase. The Toronto-based “cult fave” (Paste Magazine) —who have now sold over 15 million albums worldwide and earned multiple JUNO Awards and Grammy nominations— are also set to release new music in May of this year.
This will be the sixth edition of the tour, founded by the band in 2012 – the year that the Mayan calendar predicted would be the last, hence the “Last Summer On Earth.” “We know the Mayan Calendar was wrong about the end of the world,” adds Ed Robertson, “but could they have been THAT wrong?! Two Connecticut-based chefs will go head-to-head with only 30 minutes to create the best dish to present to celebrity chef judges Aarón Sánchez, Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy and Maneet Chauhan. Norwich native Ceil Vardar, food writer, cooking instructor and winner of Food Network’s Chopped will face Daniel Monroe, a former US Army culinary specialist and current chef at Fairfield Connecticut’s gourmet grocery store, The Pantry. excited to announce a recent multi-year produce contract being awarded to Sardilli Produce & Dairy. Mohegan Sun has worked with the longstanding Hartford, CT based company for the past eight years. In the past three years alone, have purchased more than 18,000 cases and more than 490,000 lbs. of produce from local farmers, and supporting Connecticut Agriculture – marks that will continue under the extended partnership.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by singer-songwriter Jakob Dylan, The Wallflowers have won two Grammy Awards and earned a string of Gold and Platinum albums since their eponymous debut album in 1992.

With victories in nine of his last 11 contests, including against Derek Campos, Daniel Crawford and a face crank submission over Sam Sicilia in the opening round, the 23-year old SBG Ireland-product is on the cusp of becoming an elite force in the 145-pound division – winning the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix would be the perfect way to solidify it.
With over 50 professional fights to his name, Germany’s Daniel Weichel is ready to make his 2020 debut in a highly anticipated grand prix quarterfinal bout with Sanchez, a fighter Weichel got the better of nearly four years ago at Bellator 159. Following his Bellator debut in 2014, “Drake” has enjoyed an impressive promotional mark of 9-3, including pivotal victories over Sanchez, Pat Curran, Georgi Karakhanyan and Saul Rogers.
On the heels of yet another masterful performance that ended in a submission victory over Tywan Claxton in the opening round of the grand prix, “El Matador” is ready for another title run as he prepares for the undefeated 50-fight veteran and the man who beat him once before, Daniel Weichel.
