Darius Rucker’s debut Country album Learn To Live was recently certified platinum with sales of more than a million copies. Rucker became the first artist in nearly 17 years to top the Billboard Country chart with three consecutive #1 singles, “Don’t Think I Don’tThink About It,” “It Won’t Be Like This for Long” and “Alright,” respectively.

Brad Paisley Brings His Band to Mohegan Sun

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

Live on October 24th, Tickets go on sale August 21st

Brad Paisley, the reigning ACM and CMA “Male Vocalist of the Year,” will perform live at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 24th at 8:00pm with special guest Dierks Bentley and Jimmy Wayne.

Tickets are $75.00 and $60.00 and go on sale Friday, August 21st at 10:00am through Ticketmaster.  Ticketmaster customers may log on to ticketmaster.com; call Ticketmaster’s national toll free Charge by Phone number 1.800.745.3000; or visit any Ticketmaster outlet.   Tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office starting Saturday, August 22nd, subject to availability.

Paisley has just garnered his fourteenth #1 single and a record-setting tenth consecutive with “Then” the lead single off his new release American Saturday Night.   As his numerous visits to Mohegan Sun have proven, his musicianship and sly sense of humor bring something very special to his live performances.

After selling 5 million copies of his previous two albums and amassing ten Top 10 hits, including five #1s, Country music star Dierks Bentley has just released this past February, Feel That Fire, a 12-song serving of rockers and ballads with a dash of Honky Tonk and Bluegrass.

Jimmy Wayne is one of the biggest success stories of 2008. “Do You Believe Me Now,” the title track from his first new CD in almost five years, hit the top of the charts and held onto the #1 spot for three weeks.  Follow-up singles “I Will” and “I’ll Be That” are tracking as well as their predecessor, and will certainly join the ranks of previous Wayne hits, including “Stay Gone, “I Love You This Much” and “Paper Angels.”
